Ah, see Maisie, I didn't read the book. So, that probably explains it.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY YOU GUYS!!!!
What are your plans?

My plan is to stay home and watch people set off illegal fireworks at the park.
"You have two kinds of shows on Broadway – revivals and the same kind of musicals over and over again, all spectacles. You get your tickets for The Lion King a year in advance, and essentially a family... pass on to their children the idea that that's what the theater is – a spectacular musical you see once a year, a stage version of a movie. It has nothing to do with theater at all. It has to do with seeing what is familiar.... I don't think the theatre will die per se, but it's never going to be what it was.... It's a tourist attraction." Stephen Sondheim

Happy 4th, ya'll!
I pulled a shift this morning, so I plan on spending the rest of the day relaxing with my hub and pups. We were going to go to the beach, but it's supposed to storm.
Good thing we saw the fireworks last night.

Oy. So I was at my block's 4th of July party, and my neighbor goes so "So Claire, what would be your perfect guy?" and I said "Oh I'm more of a cat person." but she kept pushing for me to talk about boys and I kept changing the subject. My mom tried this earlier this week when we were in the car and she said "Claire, let's talk. Let's talk about boys." Erm...awkward? I always feel extremely uncomfortable talking about guys. I don't know if that makes me immature or just insecure. Either way, is it too soon to say that I actually don't really give a damn about "love"? I'd be a terrible housewife/mother. That may make me selfish, but I'm just not one of "those type of girls". I just want to go to college and be a successful musical theatre actress. That is all I ask for. Nothing more. I hate men. /rant
So how is everyone else's 4th?

SAMN - I know what you mean, I used to have a lot of guys friends when i was a little kid but then in highschool I only had those who were dating my friends. IDK why I just was really bad at being a guy's friend for a while there.. but I met some guys this past year - specifically one, Luigi who I get along with really well and my mom keeps pestering me about if we're dating. but we're not at all. not even a little. and when I asked my dad what he wanted for his birthday he said " Good Grades, oh no wait, I want you to get a boyfriend." Stay Strong!!
my 4th is alright - there was some family drama earlier but it simmered so now I'm just sitting watching dollhouse/castle while looking out the window at my neighbor's fireworks.

Hey ladies! Hope everyone is doing well!
Can yall do me a favor? Just click this link. The person who has the most visits from this link will get a signed copy of the cd and I LOVE this band. It's a local band called Moruza and my high school orchestra teacher is in it actually but it's not crap lol. If you like Regina Spektor, Ingrid Michaelson, those types, then you will probably like them as well :)
thanks!

SAMN-- that's horrible that people pressure you to talk about your love life (or lack thereof). I think I know how you feel... I've always been a really unromantic person, and I remember when I was seven years old, my best friend asked me who I had a crush on, and I said, "No one. I'm seven." I was a weird kid... she kept pestering me until I picked the name of some random kid, and even when I was in eighth grade, she was convinced that I was head-over-heels for this random guy who I named when I was seven years old.
Even now, I have a really great guy friend who I do have a massive crush on, but I wouldn't want to date him because I like being friends better... and I would be the WORST girlfriend, because I'm just not a mushy person. Because our friendship seems a lot like dating from an outside perspective-- we don't see each other a lot, but we go out and do fun stuff together when we do-- people are always asking if we're dating, and it's so awkward. My mom even refers to him as my boyfriend. Random people in movie theatres refer to him as my boyfriend. It's creepy.
Besides, SAMN, we all know all of your affection is saved up for Josh Groban!

Done, Piano! Hope you get it!
So, because Bret Michaels is taking his sweet time with another Rock of Love, I "applied" for Entertainer of Love this morning. With...the Entertainer. Everyone's favorite 30 year-old who lives with his parents (and near shhh). It was a dare, though, so I at least have an excuse this time. I think VH1 and I need to have a trial separation.

Schmerg...I love you. But not as much as I love Josh Groban!
Yes, it's just extremely irritating. Even my friends bug me about getting a boyfriend. Maybe I don't want one. Meh.

SAMN, that sounds so annoying. Honestly, why do they care? You're focusing on other things, and that is completely okay.

My point exactly! It does not affect them whether or not I'm seeing anyone! God, I'm only 16 and everyone wants me to find a husband. I can't tell you how many times my mother hints at me getting a husband and having kids. She wants grandkids so bad. I have two other siblings, so why me? And when my friends get the crazy idea that some guy I talk to is remotely interested in me, they jump all over it. I'm not lonely. I'm fine. I'd be even better of they all laid off. Gah!

Morning ladies!
Piano, I clicked the link
Shh, it's Stockard who loves Chris Daughtry.
Maisie, My Sister's Keeper is probably one of my favorite books and I'm nervous that I'll be disappointed in the movie. Jodi just has such an amazing writing style, I can't imagine a film getting the same style.
How was everyone's holiday weekend? Mine consisted of lots of food, lots of friends, and way too many Yuenglings.

Jag, to be totally honest, if you got on a trashy VH1 show, I'd think it was the coolest thing ever!
