I love TMNT and Duck Hunt for the original. All three Donkey Kongs for the SNES are also great. The SNES was my favorite system.

Oh and Zelda: Ocarina of Time was an amazing game also.

The Duck Tales game was pretty cool as well. I also played the basketball game Double Dribble.

Zelda. ZELDA!!!

I was obsessed with that series for over a decade. I just love the Tolkienesque world of Hyrule, the sword-fighting, the puzzles to solve, the magic. OCARINA OF TIME is my favourite game, ever.

Do you remember that spin-off TV show "Captain N, The Game Master"?

Yoda, I used to watch my dad play the different Mario games. When we got our Sega, I used to watch my mom play Sonic The Hedgehog 2. The woman was good--she got all the way to the final boss level before her luck finally ran out.

"Do you remember that spin-off TV show "Captain N, The Game Master"?"

Is that the Saturday Morning Cartoon with the guy who somehow got sucked into Nintindo world?

Kitz, I'm glad to know that there are fellow watchers out there. Most people find it strange, but I really suck at video games.

Yeah..I think that is the one. The Mother Brain from Metroid was the main villian with Doctor Wily (Mega Man), King Hippo (Punch Out) and the Eggplant Wizard (Kid Icarus) as her accomplices. The good guys were Captain N, Mega Man, Simon Belmont (from Castlevania) and Kid Icarus. The voice of Mother Brain was Levi Stubbs who of course was the voice of the plant in the Little Shop of Horrors movie.

That always bothered me -- the main character from Kid Icarus was not named Kid Icarus. His name was Pit. Yet they called him Kid Icarus on the show. Or, as he would say, showicus.

Yes, that's the one I was thinking of. It always seemed really wierd to me, but I'd never played any of the games the characters were drawn from.

Of course, there was also that Super Mario Bros show with Captain Lou Albano. Remember the ending "Do the Mario!" dance? Classic TV.

It was even better when Lou Albano and the other guy who played Luigi dressed up in drag to lip sync Baby Love with Diana Ross. Or a Diana Ross impersonator. I can't remember if she was actually on the show.

Other games I've enjoyed watching people play:

* My father playing the Smurf game on our Colecovision
* My father playing Aladdin and Sonic Spinball on our Genesis
* My brother playing Mario 64 and StarFox64 on our N64
* My brother playing PaRappa the Rappa on our PS1
* My brother playing Sonic Adventure on our Dreamcast
* My brother playing Enter the Matrix on our Gamecube

Pretty much watching my brother playing anything re: 'I Love Nintendo' Thread

And yes, we do still have all of those gaming systems. And they all still work.

One time my father played Dr. Mario for 30 straight hours. I remember going to bed, waking up and him staring at the TV with bags under his eyes plugging away on the controller.... (and my father was olderish at the time, late 50s, so it was a pretty funny site to see.)

The most I've played is visiting one of my friends in TX when we were in 5th grade. We stayed up the entire night playing Super Mario Brothers 3 without warping, and having to go through every single board and castle of every land of that game. My favorite was the brick castle in land 7, and you can go in with a P-wing and change the whole castle to coins and get up to 99 extra lives (you died at 100).

All of all systems still work. We have an NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Game Cube, and X-Box. We also still have a Sega Game Gear, which came out around the time of original Game Boys, but they were in color. And they were huge. I still play it ocasionally. It had good Sonic games.

I LOVED Sega GameGear! Jungle Book and Sonic the Hedgehog were particular favorites of mine.

We never got the Jungle Book. I remember seeing it at a store back when they actually sold game gear things, but I never got it. Ocasionally I'll go to a used game system store and get some cheap games.

Sonic was definitely my favorite for Game Gear. We have three different versions I think. We don't have that many good games. I think in addition to the Sonic games, we have some Baseball Game, Batman, and Pacman.

At my birthday party one year..a few of us stayed up all night trying to beat Mega Man 2--and we did!

I also could play endlessly with Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Bowl 2.

Anyone ever hear of this freaky game for the old Nintendo system for the "Boy and His Blob"? A little white blob that almost looked like a snowman would follow this kid around, and the boy would feed it jellybeans, and it'd turn into different objects like a ladder, rocket, hummingbird, and bubble. It was the weirdest game ever; I don't think I ever beat it. I found it online though and somehow got it on my computer. When I was doing a search for the Blob game, I found an updated version. Apparently, they made one for the handheld Gameboy DS or whatever you call it.
