re: 'I Love Nintendo' Thread

Anyone ever hear of this freaky game for the old Nintendo system for the "Boy and His Blob"? A little white blob that almost looked like a snowman would follow this kid around, and the boy would feed it jellybeans, and it'd turn into different objects like a ladder, rocket, hummingbird, and bubble. It was the weirdest game ever; I don't think I ever beat it. I found it online though and somehow got it on my computer. When I was doing a search for the Blob game, I found an updated version. Apparently, they made one for the handheld Gameboy DS or whatever you call it.

I LOVED Zelda and Final Fantasy -- hours and hours and hours and hours.

I thought that code, Patronus, was the one to turn the guy in Metroid into a girl....I used to do that code all the time.

I remember Punch-Out fondly also -- I loved how easy King Hippo was to beat.

Isn't there a thing in the end of level 1.3 on SMB to get like 99 extra lives -- if you catch that turtle coming down the stairs and keep jumping on it....

Good times.

No, no, no. The "guy" in Metroid, Samus Aran, WAS a girl. She'd just take off her helmet and prove it to you if you did well in the game. And she could totally kick Lara Croft's ass, BTW.

You're right, Calvin - I read over what I wrote -- I knew it was a girl all along, just mis-wrote it. :) Still a GREAT game.

I totally had "A Boy and his Blob" and it was one of the lamest games ever.
