ahhh, my love for that man knows no bounds. He is such a demented genius, and I fall asleep to his show every night.
And this is coming from a big (former) Conan fan. I used to watch Conan all the time, but Craig is so much better. It constantly amazes me how he has almost literally no script to work off of for the first 30 minutes, and manages to be continuously funny every night. And he is a generous interviewer, making the most wooden of celebrities seem funny and organic, as opposed to how Jay Leno patronizes many of his guests.
Please, people, start watching his show if you haven't already. He is wonderful!!

Posted: 5/19/09 at 11:31amI would like Craig Ferguson more if not for the ridiculous softballs he lobbed at Bush at the last Correspondent's Dinner. But then again, I guess the White House knew exactly what they were doing after the Colbert debacle.

I used to watch Conan and saw one episode of Craig's show and the only time I ever saw Conan after that was when Craig was a rerun. Not that I watch every night, but I generally DVR at least one a week.
Last summer I snagged a great seat at the gala Craig hosted at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. I've seen many great comedy hosts there, but he was the best. Many hosts do 10 minutes and then introduce the seven or eight other acts at the gala.
Not Craig. He was sheer comedy gold from beginning to end. A hilarious monologue, funny skits and a Salute to Scotland finale that had sets and costumes, just about ANYTHING even remotely Scottish was mentioned and then zipped on stage, the way every mode of transportation sung about in the original production of Ragtime whizzed past the audience. I mean, there was a bar filled with drunken Scottishmen, Shrek, a bagpipe band, a castle. It was huge, epic, and each laugh built on top of the previous one until most of us had tears streaming down our face and were gasping for air.
That man has a helluva one-man show in him someday.

Posted: 12/11/12 at 2:52pmYes! Craig is the best late night host (although Jimmy is better than I thought he would be)

Is that Tom Cruise? Imagine the paperwork that must have preceded that bit!
"Demented genius" - perfect description for Ferguson.

Of course, Wynbish, thank you. Time for me to take another trip to Lens Crafters!
I was really having trouble believing Cruise would do that.

Posted: 12/11/12 at 9:54pmafter work, I always look foward to his show. I work nights and tend to get home around 10pm. after grabbing a quite bite to eat, checking a few things online and cleaning up(shower, etc.), it's usually time for some Ferguson. He's so quick with one-liners & his banter with his robot-sidekick(Geoff Peterson) & Secretariat is always funny. I ended up seeing him live at Radio City back on Oct. 6 and never stopped laughing.

Posted: 12/11/12 at 11:14pmAlthough I don't always catch the Late Late Show, count me as another of Craig's fans. The theme song to his show is one of my favorite as tv theme songs go, and I love that he sings it himself.

Posted: 12/12/12 at 12:49amCount me as another person who switched from Conan to Craig years ago. I liked Conan, but I like Ferguson's mix of restlessness and cockeyed earnestness better.

I liked Conan when he was in the old Late Night slot, then a little less on The Tonight Show - but now his TNT show is just awkward and unfunny. Sad, terribly sad.
I still love Craig, of course.

Earlier this year I was kinda worn out with Craig. I find his banter with his guests can sometimes be more miss than hit, depending on how comfortable they are with him (then again, he usually seems to wisely pick guests who *are*), but have been back into the show lately.
My problem is I've grown to (mostly) really like Jimmy Fallon's show too, even if some of his segments drive me crazy--but have never had any love for Leno, and Letterman's been tired to me for a while now (I watched his show last night for the first time in ages just because he had, of all people, Natalia Makarova on.)
