Posted: 4/20/08 at 7:33pmI love that part tooo! I have tech week this week and have a fever of 104` right now though, so I hope i'm able to do the show. I really hate Disney on Broadway, though. It's just like chick flicks; all I can think when I see them are how much money the actors are making. Disney inspired me a lot when I was younger and musical theatre is my life now, but combining them seems... corruptive.

Posted: 4/20/08 at 7:47pmSorry to hear that you're pissed; sometimes that happens in life. I was doing a production of Annie Get Your Gun a few years ago, and they completely cut the dance number "I'll Share it All" the night before opening night. Welcome to the world of theatre.

Posted: 4/20/08 at 8:00pmI hate when directors do that. When I was in Aladdin, the dance for A Whole New World was totally redone on after Opening Night, but changed back to the first dance after the second show!

Posted: 4/20/08 at 8:32pmYeah I hate it when directors do that also. When I was in Noises Off my director cut half the second act, which IMO, was the funniest part of the whole show.

Yeah, that part in Gaston was one of the best things in the show when I did it. Its a shame.
Don't feel too bad though, I finally had my own song this year and they decided to cut it instead :O(

...that's so strange. as far as my theatre experience, i've never come across a director that's cut some things, or added some, the night before or during the run of a show. they've always had their vision and stuck to it which would be established even way before tech week... i'm really sorry that you had that problem...
i know this is a super old thread, just i've run out of entertainment on the first page...
