DAMMIT!!! Yet another King novel-to-film casualty. A shame, really. The book is so good.

Just watched it. Well... 2/3 of it was surprisingly good, and faithful to the novel. The last hour of it was just awful. Terrible.
Ron Perlman was brilliant, while Tom Skeritt and Annabeth Gish were also standouts. Charles Durning had some good moments, too. It was nice to see Henry "Elliott from E.T." Thomas again, even if he did have a small part.

I taped it. I will watch it sometime...in July. Maybe August.

The book, of course, was better. They never do his books justice. He always has those things with animals. Dead, rabid or otherwise. I like his earlier books much better. Just finished The Cell, it started out good then drifted into The Stand.

I'm still waiting for "Bag of Bones", "Rose Madder", and "Insomnia" to get the small screen treatment. Apparantly, George A. Romero is planning to do "From a Buick 8". Interesting...
