I first thought I might be gay when...

I went to a swim meet when I was around 10, and remember enjoying looking at the all the speedo-clad guys WAY too much. My parents wanted to leave after my cousin had finished his race, but I begged to stay. They thought I had finally found a sport I enjoyed.

I still blame my puberty-era poster of a shirtless Billy Idol for my being gay.

Still waiting to give Billy my rebel yell...

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. Age 7, fantasizing about the 2 Power Rangers who liked to fight shirtless together, then parade around in spandex.

I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. ...I was born.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

...I was in middle school and saw the cover of a Hardy Boys book ("When the Clock Ticked") featuring Frank and Joe bound and gagged and tied to two chairs. Those strapping, handsome young men absolutely helpless...oh, dear.

this book is so funny, and is full of these kinds of stories and anecdotes. It makes a good coffee table book. Pick it up!

Even though I was "active", I "knew" in high school when I followed a football player home, several times, and tried to talk to him.

I scored several touchdowns.

I have to join those who came out due to a poster. Mine was a Culture Club poster with a beautiful picture of Jon Moss (the drummer) I felt hypnotized every time I looked at him.

Sally, you mean like you were "hypothetically" gay?

and UNCAGEG, if your school's football players let you be "active" with them (meaning they were "passive") then i wish i'd have met the team! There is nothing like a receptive tight end.

Yes, Jon Moss was one of Boy's many boys. There was a picture of the two kissing in a book at Spencer's gifts in the mall that I used to go stare at every chance I got. I never got the nerve to buy it though.

well once a pitcher makes that kind of connection with a catcher (sports analogy only, of course!), then it's hard to break the rhythm

Well, I'm not gay (as far as I know), but I realized I'd hit puberty and the beginning of sexuality when I stopped fast-forwarding through all of the Rum Tum Tugger's scenes in "Cats."

Jon Moss was pretty cute. A lot of those eighties guys were.

I knew I was gay while watching Ben-Hur and enjoying a young Charlton Heston, clad in a loincloth, chained and whipped on the slave war ship.

Also provided lots of clues to where I was heading in terms of types of "activities" I currently enjoy.
