I have a terrible sweet tooth, I can go years (and have) with no bread products (no pizza, pasta, bread, etc) and I am a 12 year vegetarian... but don't get me anywhere near any sweets! I guess we all have to feed the long-gone (or lurking right around the corner?) fat kid inside us all, no?
DAME, run... do not walk... RUN... to your local grocer if you have not had the new Ben & Jerry's flavor: CINNAMOM BUN ICE CREAM. It is as delectible as it sounds... and I don't even like cinnamon buns (one of the only sweets I don't usually enjoy)! Also, their new Creme Brulee ice crean is on the level of Godiva's Dulce de Leche if you want milky, creamy caramel smoothness.
My personal fav 420 food... err, sweet treat, ... will always and forever be BEN & JERRY's EVERYTHING BUT... which is exactly what the title proclaims: EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN SINK! And it is. It so deliciously, delectably, devilishly is!
P
P.S. Special mention goes to Edy's American Idol Special Flavors (the triple cheesecake was to-die-for) and their new S'MORE'S ice cream which is PERFECT between two chocolate covered grahame crackers (with a drizzle of marshmallow topping)!
P.P.S. Once a year I make a pilgrimage to Cold Stone Creamery (I really am like a junkie, more than once a year and I'd be there three times a week) and purchase one of those cakes they make. I really don't think as perfect a treat exists as a piece of ANY of the Cold Stone Confections Cakes, though the Red Velvet with confetti ice cream may win, and the Oreo cake has no equal if you're big into Oreos.

I say kamish bread, you say mandelbrot.
We all say YUM!!!
I tried to be good, so I opted for Angel Food Cake. It could have been worse.

I don't know why I came to this thread when I'm on a juice fast.
Help!
Love these!

When my uncle was little, he was walking home from the drug store with a pack of Chuckles and one of the girls in his neighborhood beat him up and stole the Chuckles!
Those cookies look amazing.
They're chocolate covered pretzels...which is even better!
I could slap you hard right now.
The harder the better.
So, everyone seems to say that Serendipity's frozen hot chocolate is to die for. Can anyone here confirm? Thinking of taking the better half there. Do you know of another sinful sweet in the city that's better?
It's pretty good. But prepare for a huge sugar high.
I was in Warwick NY over the weekend, and one of the things I did was go to their farmer's market. One of the vendors, Scotty's Pies, makes the best Strawberry Ruhbarb pie I've ever had. Simply to die for. Thankfully, I left the majority of the pie with my family and just took one piece home with me, which I ate last night...
McDonald's should make these year round.
LOL, BB! That reminds me of the Shamrock Shake thread and how Singtopher was on a desperate quest to find one!
They are yummy!
Danmag, I knew you'd come running once I mentioned the Shamrock Shake LOL
Are there still a lot of Jewish bakerys in NYC?
Trying to be good.
I received a tub of Danish cookies from Mortensen's Danish Bakery in Solvang, CA this weekend. I have been plowing through it all weekend.
mmmmmmmm
I keep hearing about Levain Bakery's fare, especially their chocolate chip cookies.
How is that cereal, bb? I'm tempted to try it to avoid unhealthy late-night snacking.
Solvang is one of the Danish bakery capitals of the country and possibly the world.
Nothing is better. Those pictures do not lie, I've been there many many times though not in the last ten years or so.
