i'm sorry. i watched a friend move away too and it was soooo difficult but i speak from experience when i say that we've kept in touch and i've seen her almost every summer since! just think about the good times when you will get to see your friend again, it will help.

i understand, when best friends move away it really sucks. my best friend moved to colorado for college, i moved down to southern california (we are both from northern california. i haven't seen her since december and i miss her tons! you will see him again i promise, just keep in touch for the present, its really weird and tough at times but itll work.

Abba......this is a part of life, that can actually be joyful. (Look at the glass as half full, rather than half empty). When my best friend moved from Detroit to San Francisco in 1994, I was lost for awhile, and very upset....until I realized that things happen for a reason. I even went and visited WAY too often.
You know the line in Wicked that mentions people being put into our lives for a reason? I believe it's true. When I look back on my life, and see everyone who was important to me, I realize we all have many lives...I had my "army in Germany" life, my college life, my Michigan life......I think I've figured I'm on life #8. All of them had different people in them. BUT......there are a few people I've pulled from life to life....and those are the truly important ones.
Sadly the above best friend was not pulled into my next "lives". And that's ok....because when I think about my time in Michigan, I have great memories of him.......

Just appreciate your friend while it lasts and thank God that he is still alive.

One of my best friends was killed in a car accident on Tuesday, and I Friday, I had to say good-bye to her forever in the form of a funeral.

Just appreciate the fact that you can still call him, and talk to him.

Thanks everyone... I just feel kinda lost right now without him... he was so special to me and I know I'll see him when he come home to visit, I'll just miss calling him and hanging out.

::hugs:: Saying goodbye to a friend is so hard. My best friend moved away at the beginning of last summer, and it was rough - we'd both start crying if something happened like (how horrible!) one of us dropped a pencil. People can tell you and tell you it'll be easier soon, and you can stay in touch, but it doesn't make it easier when it's happening. Hang in there.
