I will miss it too. People bitch about visibility for some communities - and here is another hit to that testament. I found on this site that they are releasing the finale on DVD for $9.95. Random, but I thought it was odd.

From what I hear, the finale sounds like it'll be worse than Seinfeld's.

I love this show. It will be the end of an era in my life. I had just graduated from grad school the semester before it debuted. I've only ever known post-college life with W&G.

Im going to be so sad when this show goes. Its first 5 seasons were great and I have to admit seasons 6 and 7 were so-so but I am really enjoying season 8. It's really sad to see this show go....
Maybe an Emmy win for Best Comedy as a "goodbye" gift? Doubtful but one can hope...

It will be a VERY sad night. Has there been any media coverage on teh filming of the finale? I haven't seen anything! When Friends and Raymond ended there were pictured everywhere! Here's hoping for an Oprah with the cast and creators!

Last week's episode was great, this week, not so much. It's pretty hit and miss lately, trying to wrap things up. Regardless, I came out three weeks before the show debuted and it will always have a special place in my life.

For the mst part the whole season has been jaw droppingly awful. I'm hoping they can get back some of the old magic for the finale, but considering what they've been putting on the screen so far this season I don't think it's going to happen.

This season was wonderful up through their trip to L.A. Will's relationship with Taye Diggs was portrayed as being honestly different and profound. I really believed that Will had finally found someone, and it would have been a lovely start towards a final season arc. I thought it was a truly beautiful episode.
Then, for some ridiculous reason, they completely screwed it up in the very next episode, and the show hasn't been the same since. Plot points and personality traits are coming out of nowhere, time is moving along at a strangely fast pace, and both the comedy AND drama are painfully forced. Sadly, after all these years, Will & Grace is dying a slow, merciless death.
I already miss Will & Grace. But the pre-Taye-Diggs Will & Grace.

"Plot points and personality traits are coming out of nowhere..."
This has been absolutely true since the very beginning and yet people seem to think there was a time when it wasn't.
Oh my god I'm furious at you now for no apparent reason, Will, even thought 15 seconds ago we were giggling.
Grace, I will always be there for you.
Really? You mean that? My unexplained rage is strangely dissipating.
Let's hug with tears welling up in our eyes!
By the way, I'm moving.
Grace, what about me?
This isn't about you Will, this is about ME. Ever since high school it's always been about you.
I'm enraged at you Grace, even though ten seconds ago we were hugging.
I don't blame you. Look, I'm out of here.
and scene.
