I love Ross the Intern - Updated!

Sometimes he's a little much for me but most times he cracks me up. If you don't follow his blogs, today's is especially hilarious. (I'm talking about the one for Wed 12/19)

He was on celebrity fit club and has done a great job keeping it off.

OK, seriously people... who's calling?

re: I love 'Ross the Intern'

I love him, but I always have to mute "Hi Blog Buddies!!" He manages to hit some ungodly register that just makes me cringe.
"Zac is sweet as can be. He's very much just a sweet kid from California who happens to have a face that looks like it was drawn by Michelangelo, (if Michelangelo did anime)."

"Celebrating a birthday this week: Rene Descartes is 412! Do you know who he is? Then why are you watching this show? You could probably get into college and even get one of those job things. As for the rest of us; Amanda Bynes is 22! Yay!"

re: I love 'Ross the Intern'

lol Its funny you mentioned him, because he came into my Starbucks yesterday. I didn't wait on him, I just remember thinking: "Hey! Ross the Intern!"

I used to love him when he was still on Leno and sent out on random missions, like to cover a lumberjack competition. He's fabulous.

re: I love 'Ross the Intern'

I just don't get why people watch videos of other people babbling on about the most inane things.

How much time is wasted on this type of stuff? Maybe you all could be out doing a little something for homeless people or donate your time to a worthy cause.

Maybe it’s just me.

Surely you're smart enough to see how hypocritical your comments are... or is posting on this board is a more "worthy" way to spend time? No one claimed for it to be a productive way to spend time. It's just fun.

'Surely you're smart enough to see how hypocritical your comments are"

Wow, thanks.

I thnk there's a HUGE difference in coming on here and sharing views and opinions, or just sitting there and watching someone who videotaped themselves go on about ahow much he loves Koo-Koo-Roo.

Neither, however, feed the homeless.

It's a little silly to think just because people watch something you don't get that they don't actually do anything good for the world.

re: I love 'Ross the Intern'

Maybe that part didn't come across right, but I'd rather help a homeless person than sit there and watch people who video tape themsleves.

How's that?

re: I love 'Ross the Intern'

That's better.

Although NOW it sounds like helping a homeless person is the second to last thing you'd rather do...right ahead of watching these videos.

But I know what you're saying.

re: I love 'Ross the Intern'

If Ross were sitting next to me on the bus talking, I'd move to another seat. I can not imagine how or why anyone would seek him out to voluntarily listen to him.

re: I love 'Ross the Intern'

Why not do both?

You could videotape a ranting homeless person, make a Web site out of it and split the ad revenues.

And Ross the Intern segments on Leno always made me a bit uncomfortable. They seemed to carry the theme of "let's send him somewhere so that people will laugh at the queer."

"...sharing views and opinions..."

More like insults.

That's what I always thought as well, except I would say, '...so that people would laugh at the fat queer' but now he's lost weight.

And I had a homeless person arrested just last week for assault. I thought she'd be warmer in jail. So, I feel like I’m doing my part to help.

re: I love 'Ross the Intern'

Yeah, because jail is going to help him get back on his feet?

Really? C'mon, I've seen you respond to things on here of "equal importance" as someone's love of Koo Koo Roo. At least in the video format I'm entertained.

I'm pretty sure that by supporting Ross people are keeping him from being homeless.

It was a her.

Shows how much you know. re: I love 'Ross the Intern'

And yes, now she can get the help she needs. I am NOT Satan, or any one of his minions and I don't deserve to be attacked with an oxygen tank just because she thinks that I do look like him.

And as much as I do love Jerby, I can’t watch him either.

They are like opinion colums to me. If I would have wanted your opinion, I would ask for it. I never understood those. Just who is it that gets to choose whose thoughts or ideas were more important than other folks?

I don’t get the whole, “I’m taping myself so that everyone knows what I think about something, and they can watch me” thing.

Everyone has an opinion on something. I just can think of much better ways of spending my time than having to watch a one sided conversation.

That's just me though. Having an opinion. But here, you can respond and tell me that you think I'm an ass.

re: I love 'Ross the Intern'

i'm not the least bit offended by that, theatrediva. :)

my channel is varied: political/social commentary, comedy/satire, music. people who subscribe to my channel watch the stuff they like--maybe only brother barker. or only the music. and that's totally cool. and soon there will be more creative work on there--music videos, short films, web series. it's merely a place for me to play and experiment and put my creativity out there for free with a bigger audience--who is brutally honest and/or supportive. those cabaret shows cost too much and don't net big audiences at my current place in the game.

it's no different than blogging (which can be fun, but mostly dull), but this feels more creative and expressive--esp when it is music or comedy--characters I am creating, writing, performing, directing, etc.

and the political/social videos aren't for everyone. I don't expect you need to learn about what it's really like to be gay. but there are so many people who do. I created those videos as a reaction to the sad, stunning amount of homophobia online. and I have been rewarded with so many people's comments of how much those videos meant to them--spoke for them. I also get rewarded with 'fagget' and 'i wish I could put a bullet in your head', which tells me i'm also getting to the homophobes. i'm a role model and a challenge to the hatred. and that IS making a difference. education is the key to making a change in this world and the internet is a major battleground.
