Please don't drive Di2 away!

I haven't spoken to my mother today, so I'm fixing for a little bit of a martyr complex.

A little bit?!?!

Btw, robbie, LOVE your quote line! I always wanted to be her! That movie profoundly affected my puberty more than it should have.

It's a shame that we've veered so far off topic, but what can you do?

I love Ornella Muti!!! Not as much as the other crazy bitch from that movie! The one in dominatrix black with the gold helmet and vaguely Eastern Block accent!

If I lash back because you have called me names first (or questioned/attacked my character) then how are you any better than me? You started it.

Does anyone remember the time on the main board (the wha?) where Di2 called people a*sholes and spouted off on them just because they disagreed with her opinion? Search function, anybody? I'm hopeless with it.

I believe the term bitchy theatre queens was bandied about as well...though not entirely inaccurate :). I'll try the search for ya, Type, but this computer is kinda wacky...

Tiff, the search function will do no good. She eventually erases most of her posts. With good reason.

Didn't we call her on her bullSH*T the same day she spouted off on the Rath Appreciation thread? I think someone reposted it directly on there along with a link to the original thread.

I believe, Tiff, her phrase was "a$$hole wanna-bes". I was never sure if that meant a$$holes who were wanna bes, or people who wanted to be a$$holes.

It just went down hill from there........

BINGO! I believe that's the one (of many). That wasn't the one where she's talking about her involvement at the World Trade Centre, was it?

you people are annoying..so self absorbed..you are like the popular kids in high school, only popular because you have deemed yourselves popular. have you noticed that there are only 4 or 5 of you even on this thread? Personally, I found rathnait to be self centered and not all that worthy of this appreciation. She attacks those that do not share her opinion as if she is the end all be all and all knowing.

Do you all even know each other in real life or is this just fake ...??

Don't bother writing back..just my opinion which is in no way wrong.

I have just found many posters (esp. Rath) to be very unwelcoming since I started posting here and wonder what I did to be treated poorly.

I was actually hoping to make friends here..

That's all.

How's that workin' for ya?

"have you noticed that there are only 4 or 5 of you even on this thread?"

You know, after she made that statement I went back and counted the number of people who had posted on the thread to that point: 40.

She must have lost count after the first 5.

I <3 Plum, but let's not appear too cliquey or our credibility is shot, or something.

Oh, and it was DGrant who posted the link to Di2's first charming bon mots, and I can only see the beginning of his post in the search function, and of course not see the rest in the thread since he's deleted. re: I'm Not Sure What I Think About This...

But for posterity's sake:

re: Rathnait62 Appreciation . - DGrant Sep 21, 01:45 PM
Rath - pardon the slight threadjack, but under the circumstances . . .

Di2 - I went back to check through your posting history, and there's not that much. the thread linked below is really the first time you jumped in and interacted with the community here on the off-topic board. In your first post on the thread, you called everyone a$$holes, and it went downhill from there.

The people who post here frequently actually have gotten to know each other, both on and off the boar... (more...)

and...

re: Rathnait62 Appreciation . - DGrant Sep 21, 02:17 PM
Rath - I'm only going to respond to this one post, and then I'm out of it so you can have your thread the way it was intended!

Di2 - I'm sorry the link wont open for you - it's opening for me, so I'm not sure what the problem is. The link is for the WTC thread that you reference in your above post. Here's just a part of your initial post on that thread:

"I just read about the walk at its website
and you guys are a**holes because you are blowing it out of proportion and s... (more...)

and lastly...

re: Rathnait62 Appreciation . - DGrant Sep 21, 02:33 PM
Di2 - your story of working at the WTC appeared on the page AFTER your initial post in the thread - so if you got PMs about it, you had already set the tone.

You're right, I don't know everything (and never would claim I did) - but I DO know what I can read with my own eyes!

And NOW, in an attempt to get this back to RATH - she's smart enough to see through your facade, and THAT'S one of the many reasons we like her so much ... (more...)

Hooray, Elphaba! Roundtrip? From where to where? I'm planning my Europe trip for 2007 now, and after your and BlueWizard's advice, I'm going to make a pitstop in Bruges for a night or two. Debating between Barcelona or Amsterdam...might also try to hit Turkey while we're in Greece...decisions, decisions. I love it! (What's your main mode of transport? Train?)

Oh here, I found the original asshole thread. (Thank you, DG, for keeping your posts concise enough that I could gather sufficient information in the first few lines!) Keep in mind that this was Di2's FIRST post on this thread, and there wasn't anyone personally provocating her:

I just read about the walk at its website
and you guys are a**holes because you are blowing it out of proportion and stirring up people's emotions. Didn't your parents raise you well enough to know that discussing politics in mixed company is in poor taste?

It's simply a WALK and that's all. I agree that Clint Black's song (and his attendance) is a tad random and inappropriate but there is nothing wrong with a walk to commemorate a historical event. It's not like it's the "9/11 Freedom Circus" with chimpanzees dressed at Saddam and a Carnival outside or anything like that.

I couldn't give a rat's ass about your opinions and your postings have nothing to do with a Broadway Theatre board.

Find the appropriate forum for political ranting.

Yeah, you'd never want to talk politics in mixed company. In fact, you shouldn't talk about politics at all. Because the status quo is always the way to go. So just to summarize this person's views- no politics, no religion- in fact, nothing remotely controversial. Let's just all watch football games and be bitchy happy.

She also bonded with Tired_O_Lurking in the "Did it ever occur to you people" thread--another gem.

You know, it kinda upsets me to see such a self-destrcutive actress. It's such a tough business on females in particular, and it just makes me sad to see (or in this case, read) such negativity. It's also kinda dangerous considering what happened to DGrant. She's posted about so many of her roles and shows she's done that it doesn't take much to find out her real name. A lesser person might use that to his or her advantage to seek petty revenge. Just sad.

Oh, I love the old jealousy argument. "You hate me because you want to be like me!" Of course, it never occurs to these people that maybe, just maybe, they're completely unworthy of any kind of emulation. How can you manage to be so insecure while supporting such a massive ego simultaneously? Is a puzzlement.
