but they sure know how to get into your pants!

Your pants are particularly easy, Car!
And the exchange rate is around E1 = $1.32. Not sure what that is for you, and I'm too lazy to figure it out. Remember, we've been independent since 1921, so we don't use sterling, Dollypop.
Pfft, when it comes to Irishmen, I feel like my pants would be particularly easy too...
I've seen Boondock Saints about a billion times, and the accent just kills me...in a very *nice* way.

You do mean the Boomtown Rats, right? Or are the saints a tribute band or something?
The Boondock Saints...movie with Willem Dafoe and Sean Patrick Flanery.

I think there was supposed to be a sequel...but that got nixed for some reason.
It's not set in Ireland. Boston, but with some hot Irish guys. =P

zOMG. I love Boondock Saints.
Linnie- ahem, I resent that remark about my pants! Just because you have a charming accent and breathe that smells seductively like whiskey and cigarettes, doesn't mean my pants are easy to get into! HARUMPH!

I wouldn't have laughed at that if it weren't for the fact that I've never touched a cigarette or a bottle of whisky. You know me by now, CQTB! PMs are in order, I suspect.
bee tee double-you, is it breathe or breath...?
i can never remember...

I breathe in air, and I have fresh-smelling breath.
Contrary to the popular vision of the Irish...who breathe in smoke and have whiskey-smelling breath.
that's what I thought.
many thanks.
ok, back to Ireland...
I honestly love this country. Not to mention the fact that as a little 13 year old boy they sold me a beer! haha

I'm 15, and have never had a drink in my life, but if I wanted, they probably would have given me beer from the time I was three. Legally, the drinking age is 18. In practice, if you are old enough to be able to ask for a beer, you're old enough to have one.
I need to go find my book now. It's not in its usual place. =[

I'm hoping CQTB's internet just went bust for a while, because if not, it must be that he's dumped me for some younger model (awful, considering I'm younger than him already).
That would be a travesty.
(And I found my book!)

I sense sarchasm.
Oh, and show us some of the book! Open to us the delights of my fatherland!

I can't see it.

That made me remember when I bought cigarettes in Argentina when I was 12!

Muscle - Im ashamed!
AT 15, nearly 16, and n ot ever having taken a drink, or a smoke, or sex, am I falling behind, or am I just in the clear?
Well goodness gracious!
Hmm, under "What to Eat in Ireland," it says:
Ireland's rich pastureland, unpolluted rivers and extensive coastline provide tender lamb, beef and pork, an array of fish and seafood and fresh fruit and vegetables. From hearty rural fare that makes the most of ingredients available, Irish cooking has evolved into gourmet cuisine created by internationally trained chefs. Often you will find the best of both worlds, with Irish stew or ham and cabbage on the same menu as more exotic dishes. The ideal end to a meal is an Irish coffee - coffee, cream, and whiskey.
The description gives off a sort of "We throw whatever we find together in a pot and hope it turns out well" vibe. And the pictures don't help. But I'm sure the food is delicious. Eh? Oh, sorry, that's Canadian.
And now I've turned to a page with a sculpture of three naked women. How interesting.

Where does it say the sculpture is?
Oh, and this make me laugh; "unpolluted rivers". Ha! By unpolluted, do they mean green-brown water with shopping trolleys visible on the bed at low tide? They're filthy!
Haha, yeah I was wondering about the unpolluted rivers thing. I'm fairly certain that most semi-developed countries in the world don't have any unpolluted rivers. Aaand the sculpture (after flipping through and re-finding the picture) is a copy of The Three Graces by Antonio Canova. It's at the Dunkathel House, just outside the village of Glanmire...northeast of Cork!

CQTB loves Cork, I avoid it when at all possible. Not familiar with the sculpture.
And, I'll have you know, that we're not semi-developed! We're in full bloom, baby!
We collect Dorling Kindersly travel books, I actually just bought the Ireland one at Costco a week ago.
