Aw, such a BWW influx into my humble abode. Details required, Court! Spill!
The rain we knew is a thing of the past -
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

Hah, I wasn't calling Ireland semi-developed. I was just going to say the entire world, then I realized that Africa's rivers probably aren't as polluted as the rest of the world's...so I was trying to distinguish the rest of the world from Africa, I guess.
Hmm, who sounds like an awful, ignorant person? ::raises hand::

Common misperception that I'm an awful, ignorant person, perhaps! But I made no misperceptions! =$
I want to stay overnight in a haunted castle. Any haunted castles in Ireland, Linnie? Do tell!

Well, there are plenty of castles, and I'm pretty creepy when lurking around victorian style bedrooms at night...

I was there last summer for Bloomsday. Such a wonderful, beautiful country. Have fun!

Well then, will you stay in a castle with me some night while I'm in Ireland? (It will happen some day!) And creep around...?

Of course, darling. Nothing creepier than a scary little monkey with glasses howling in the dark.

Then it's a date. Polish the glasses, though. It'll be a bit dark...don't want obstructions to your vision whilst creeping. Polish them enough and I'll see a reflection of myself and be doubly frightened.

I wrote my senior project on Ulysses, yeah. It was actually, in part, about how many people can't get through the damned thing. I would be in that boat too if I didnt have an amazing professor.
I havent been to any haunted castles in Ireland, come to think of it. But I did lots of driving around in the west and it can get a little spooky after dark!

Feel along the floor...and once you get to a large moving object, feel the pant leg. I'll wear some distinguishable texture!

Linnie--Don't you lead these poor BWWers astray now. Sounds like everyone's heading your way for a party!
I was there on holiday in 2004 and loved Dublin, Waterford and Shetland.
If you want to be "touristy" in Dublin and see all the major sites in one day, you can do the hop-on-hop-off bus tour around the city. It's the equivalent of about 20 bucks, as I recall. A great way to see what you want to see at your own pace, too. Be sure to see Dublin Castle. The guided tour is inexpensive and really fascinating! Much better than I expected. We also went to St. Pat's, toured Guinness, and many other stops along the way. Shopping around St. Stephen's Green and O'Donahue's for a pint and some great music.
I'm sure Linnie would give you his own customized tour, and maybe even for less than 20 bucks... if you ask nice!

If I have a day off, I'd be delighted. I know the city rather well at this stage.
