I'm so happy for you!!! I know how hard losing your baby was, but I honestly believe that finding a new baby find a home is the best way to honor their memory.

If that's what he looks like, he's just adorable.

re: I think I found a cat!!!!!!

I love tuxedo cats. I have one, and he's a character.
And yes, I named him Mr. Mistoffelees, but he decided he preferred Bucky instead. Brat.
...anyway, good luck!

re: I think I found a cat!!!!!!

His name, apparently, is Guiness....and if we get him, I think I'll keep the name.

re: I think I found a cat!!!!!!

Great Name! did he tell you his name? My BF brought home our cat from the shelter and on the way home, the cat conveyed not only his proper name (Fiyero) but a nick-name too! (Buddy)

re: I think I found a cat!!!!!!

Awww, how cute.

What exactly is the screening process to determine if you get him?

re: I think I found a cat!!!!!!

Guiness is a fine name indeed! My oldest cat, Daemon, thinks tuxedo cats are the most handsome cats on Earth.

re: I think I found a cat!!!!!!

wonder, beautiful cat.

patronus, no screening process....the women who bring the cats in for adoption have seen me there every Saturday since early August, talked to me and now know me....so if we want him, we get him.

re: I think I found a cat!!!!!!

Ah, that's nice.

Makes it a lot easier to not have to go through a long process.

Which way are you guys leaning?

re: I think I found a cat!!!!!!

That sounds fantastic.
I hope the leaning is toward a yes.

Guiness is such a proper name for a Tuxedo Cat.
My Grandmother had a very regal Orson Welles.

WW, that is a very beautiful cat!
I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

re: I think I found a cat!!!!!!

Screening process?

Sorry, but I've never heard of this. Do they come over and check out your home to see if it's suitable?

What happens of the women who work there are friends of RTFan and decide that the cat is best off with a mother AND a father?

re: I think I found a cat!!!!!!

Diva, it is very common for places finding homes for rescued cats to find out who they are going to. They want to make sure the people are not looney, which we are, but not in that sense.

Patronus, I want him.....but Steve hasn't seen him, and if he doesn't agree, we won't. BUT......when I called to tell him and left a message, I was almost crying......(sometimes turning on the ole Drama Queen act works)....so I think he'll say yes
