Freaky, and I knew I was supposed to log on earlier today. My landlord called me to ask if I knew of anyone that was looking to take in a cat. Tuxedo male, 3 - 4 y/o, very affectionate, fixed but not declawed. I'm only allowed 1 cat and my brother & his wife already have 4. At the moment I didn't know of anyone. That is just very weird!!

I hope you get to adopt a kitty! They bring such joy! No matter what cat you choose, I can't wait to see pics!

This is Oreo, she is 13. We got her when she was 7 - 8 weeks old. Her ad in the paper said "Tuxedo kittens, all dressed up and no where to go!" Broke my little heart. Although she is not technically a tuxedo, she's still the best!!

I'm so glad you're looking at a shelter situation to get a cat. It blows my mind when people actually pay tons of money for a cat. I mean, unless you're planning on breeding it, what does it really matter? My first cat, Phoebe was adopted from our local SPCA. My other one, Aria, was a stray who had obviously been dumped from a house in the neighborhood (probably because she was pregnant, which I didn't learn until later...LOL).

Let us know what happens!

Me, I was baking from about 9:30 until just an hour or two ago. Man, this trying to be festive and all that crap is giving me a headache!

I'm leaving town, and will only be able to check in occasionally - but checking on the status here will be one of the reasons I do.

And my mom had a dog named Stoli (a huskie).

I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for you, Elphaba. Right now I'm going through the first time in over 25 years WITHOUT a tuxedo cat in my home and I do miss them terribly. My first was Feisty and I'd swear that was a picture of him that you posted. The last was Jack and she crossed the bridge last April. There's never a day goes by that I don't miss her.

I also find that smacking your partner while they are still sleeping is really effective in getting what you want.



I don't want anything now, but smacking him while he's sleeping just sounds like a good idea.
