Pee is actually quite sanitary. It has ammonia! The more you know: If you ever step on a stingray, pee on the detached stinger and it will keep the wound sanitary en route to the hospital. Or speed-dial Anth.
And cutting off someone's hair is an astoundingly rage fueled and hostile act. I f**king hate teenagers, but that is absolutely beneath the actions and maturity of the average sixteen year-old. "Boys will be boys" just doesn't apply here.

I feel that I find it hard to believe you would ever read Obama's autobiography, Goth.
I also feel that there is nothing wrong to confessing to something one did that one is ashamed of.
I also feel that physically acting out anger is not uncommon among children, unlike say willfully and violently altering another's appearance for the sake of humiliation that will last for an extended period of time. At the age of sixteen. When I think even the dumbest kids know better.

Maybe you would like to come visit the GSA I facilitate one day and talk to those kids so you can get a dose of reality. There's usually a kids contemplating suicide weekly.

One of the worst bullies I encountered in high school apparently did a complete 180 and when I ran into him at my 20-year reunion, he was kind, supportive and lovely. He's still hetero and all, but he's also now a champion for gay equality. I'm not saying Romney is even close to that, but it's not impossible for people to drastically change from their teenage persona and if they are sincerely remorseful of their previous actions, I can accept that. Considering just about everything else wrong with Romney, I really don't regard this as anything more than a cold case. He did something really mean over 40 years ago. I'm far more concerned with recent history.
I've also seen the reverse happen as more liberal friends of mine got sucked deeper and deeper into the quicksand of Fox News and Conservative fear-based paranoia to the point that we simply can no longer communicate.

Matt I definitely would agree with that--and have experienced it. But what person in their mid 50s (I assume that's Romney's age) does the kinda change most people do when they literally grow up? In my experience, unless they have some earth shattering experience to themselves or those they love, it doesn't happen.
For the record I used to pee in my high school's photography class dark room, among other things.
