DAME - my heart truly goes out to you. Hate breeds hate so I won't say I hate them, but what they did was hateful. Shameful.

I think some Godiva is in order when you feel in better spirits. :)

Chocolate is the only thing that cheers me up sometimes and you deserve some cheering up!

Personally, I think people associate the swastika with the word hate. (Sadly, that wasn't always the case). And I'm not Jewish in the least, but in high school some kid found out I was part German and drew a swastika on my arm because apparently being German equates to being a Nazi.

I am really sorry to hear about this, though. There's no excuse for that behavior. None. And if they catch these little twerps, I hope they send their stupid little asses off to jail. At least everyone is being pleasant and helpful, but still this is really bothering.

As a Jew, I'm not in the least surprised to find out people still use that symbol, but that's me being a cynic, I guess.

DAME, I'm so sorry to hear about what happened. At least the people you've contacted to help you are being good about it. When something like this happens it's really good to know that most of the people around you are decent.

Gosh, Dame. I feel so sorry for you. This kind of hatred and bigotry is what makes me so scared to be open about my sexuality. A few months ago (in my town) a group of teenagers had a rally and spoke for in the closet LBGT's who are in the closet becasue they are afraid of things like that happening. The local reaction really pissed me off.

I'm sorry that this happened to you. How scary to come out to find something like this.

I agree with everyone who has said that this is probably kids. I doubt you were targeted - just a bunch of bored kids with no supervision. It's been my experience that a lot of the kids who are painting swastika have no idea what the true meaning of it is. They just know it's a symbol of hate.

I'm no fan of the Human Rights Campaign (nee Fund), but even I wouldn't waste the nail polish like that. Oh, and certainly not for a swastika.

Which makes me think of one of my fave Dead Kennedys songs: Nazi Punks, F**k off!

If only you could blast it at the vandals.

Dame, I'm so sorry to hear that this happened to you. Hopefully the police catch these idiots soon and they get the book thrown at them. I've had my car vandalized at home as well and I know the violated feeling that can arise at a time like this. Try to relax and do something nice for yourself. *MWAH*

I know it's been said already, but I'm sorry to hear this happened. Ignorance and intolerance are horrible things and it seems like there are too many people, young and old, who carry that along with them.

This kind of thing, Dame, besides being a frightening personal attack, really must cause you to lose hope for mankind, and I wouldn't blame you. But I know you're strong enough to rise above these dregs of society be proud of who you are.
