ISAAC HAYES DEAD AT 65

Grammy and Oscar-winning musician Isaac Hayes passed away early Sunday morning in Memphis, Tenn., at the age of 65. The cause of death was not immediately known.

Police were called to the Hayes' home when relatives found him unresponsive on the floor near a treadmill.

Hayes was taken to Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, where he was pronounced dead at 2:08 a.m.

Sorry to hear of his passing. I enjoyed him quite a bit as a musician and actor.

I didn't realize he was the Chef on South Park.

I guess you missed that whole controversy when he left the show only after they made fun of Scientologists. To get back (and close out Chef's storyline), Matt and Trey made an entire episode using stock recordings to make Chef sound like a pedophile.
