I don't want her playing Evita in the West End.
I want her playing Evita here, on Broadway.
(yes, I'm selfsih! yes, I want an Evita revival...again)

I know that if Philip Quast plays Peron, I may have to go see it.
He is the greatest Javert, ever!
I agree. I want her to play it HERE, lol. if not, I have to make a trip to London. Which will probably not happen...but it MUST.
And Philip Quast?! He IS the best Javert ever.

Well, if she is cast and becomes a sensation in the West End, perhaps the production would transfer to Broadway. I hope, I hope, I hope!
Well, I have always wanted to go to London.
What better time, right?
And maybe I could catch Les Mis.
Yeah, I think if she were in London, I'd have to go see it there anyway. You know....less screaming girls in the audience. Maybe.
But they'll all be screaming in British.
"Bloody good show, chap!"
It's better than overdramatic sobbing in the audience, squeals, and requests to babysit her future children.
True.
But I'd babysit her children.
I am a poor college student. And Jewish.
So money comes FIRST.
Oh, I'd babysit her children too. I do need a job. However, that's irrelevant. I would not call that out to her at a concert. When she has no children yet. And she's not even pregnant. And she doesn't even know the crazy person who yelled that at her.
Yes, and she will never find out it was me.
Oops!
Just kidding.
No, this is true.
hahaha. If it had been you, I'd say you had a very VERY similar voice to most 14 year old girls.
Well...lol
I think it's funny that Madonna AND Idina are up for the same role.
Like Idina has matched the stardom of Madonna.
I know...it's just bizarre to me...that they're thinking of stunt casting, and thinking of actually casting someone who CAN sing the role.
They're basically shouting out for the whole world to know that if they do choose Madonna, those producers are all for stunt casting over talent. And that they don't have faith in the show standing on its own without the slaes a name like Madonna would bring in.
I'd laugh if they chose Idina.
Then Idina can put on her resume, "Better than Madonna"
Yes! Her bio would start:
Idina Menzel, recent Tony Award winner for her portrayal of Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway, is THRILLED to say that she has beat the world-famous Madonna out for this role. In other words: Kiss it, Madonna. etc.

Yes, and of course that picture, rather than a headshot, would appear next to the bio.

i'm a straight girl,but i gotta admit,Idina has a niiiiiiiice ass
If that's the case, I will be stealing some extra playbills.
I'm so glad this thread has turned into a nice discussion on Idina.
As am I, theatrebabe!
And it's okay. I think many a straight girl can admit Idina is HOT.

Saw her in concert last week....needed a dropcloth to catch the drool. She looked AMAZING. My mom was with me and kept looking over because I was staring. SO hot. So hot.
