Liam- STICK UP FOR YOURSELF, but remember that there are many here who do like you.

Jacob is right.

There are people who are cruel and mean, some who are just thoughtless, and some who find humor in everything. Don't always assume that everyone is being mean.

My spelling is fine, but I have a nervous tic that causes my head to jerk to one side at unpredictable intervals. Some people are cruel, but smetimes people just make me laugh. As cliche as it is, you have to learn who is laughing at you and who is laughing with you.

Liam - your greatest attributes are a keen sense of humor and enthusiasm. I am surprised that you would take this criticism of your spelng to heart? Your truth or dare thread recently (with the exception of spam private messages) was hysterical.

On the other issues – I found the thoughtful comments in many threads re: Schiavo very informative. I so many passionate positions to be well articulated.

I find it perplexing that someone who can maneuver around a computer and can figure out how to post pictures (something I have yet to master) can't strike up a passing familiarity with Spell Check.

Seeing as some longstanding members of this board have vouched for Liam's authenticity, why don't you guys turn all the energy you're wasting on the kid towards something that's actually productive? Bang your head against a brick wall. I'm sure it'll have more of an effect.

I'm pretty sure that luvtheEmcee, munkustrap, and DGrant have all vouched for Liam. And I know you saw at least one of those threads.

(People mentioned above, feel free to yell at me if I've put words in your mouths and I'll edit.)

PJ, why, do you suppose, someone would take all that time to spell so poorly? I'm not saying I don't believe you, I'm just asking why you think he would do it? Frankly, even if I had that disability, I would post everyting in an email, do spell check, then cut and paste.

You know what? I wish by whatever malevolent diety that's in charge of the Internet that Liam would spell check before posting. But you know what? He doesn't. And months and months of picking by all our oh-so-superior fellow posters hasn't changed that. All it's accomplished is spreading a whole lot of negativity and misery around the board. So why don't you act your (supposed) age and stop already?

Liam is just fine in my book. He went along with me and was a good sport in the Yenta is Pregnant Thread. He was the father and our child will never be able to spell!

I think religion doesn't really bother anyone on this board. In fact, I have found topics about other people's religions very interesting and love hearing others feedback on my religion (thanks for all those Jewish topics Yenta!) And politics? Eh, I don't care enough to judge anyone.
Liam's spelling bugs the crap out of me because bad spelling is one of my pet peeves. However, I don't think people need to rip on Liam all the time because of it. I just try to make out what he is saying and respond to the content of his post, not the way it was spelled.

OKAY. I've said this before on here, but clearly I need to say it again. To those of you that think Liam doesn't exist:

Liam and I grew up in the same town. As did Emcee. Liam's father was my baseball coach way back when. I graduated high school with Liam's older brother, and I musically directed Liam and his sister in a summer teen production of THE PAJAMA GAME upstate. I also went to see a production of BYE BYE BIRDIE (that Emcee also saw) that Liam's sister was in. And I saw Liam there twice. Trust me on this one. Liam is real. He's a real kid. THE END.

PalJoey - There has also been nothing to vouch that Liam is not exactly who he says he is. Guilty until proven innocent? He has done absolutely nothing to deserve the amount of abuse he receives on this board. I think he's pretty courageous for still posting here and putting up with all this. It's funny how the same peope who cry out against cruelty against certain groups are the same who victimize others shamelessly without provocation.

"Liam, your disingenuous charade is a slap in the face of every child and adult who ever struggled with dyslexia or a learning disability."

Your strong unsubstatiated words are a slap in the face to those on this board who do not judge others based on the false accusations of a few small-minded cruel individuals with nothing better to do than start a witch hunt with no more evidence than spelling errors. Unless you have irrefutable proof of his being disingenuous, there is no reason at all to believe Liam is not who he says he is. There are members of this board who have noted that they know Liam and his family personally and have been attacked and accused of falsifying their identities simply because they backed him up. The whole thing is so ridiculous.
