I wish I could forget most of my dreams.

This morning I dreamed that I woke up, got dressed, came to work, and stated my data entry. At which point, my husband shoved me in the ribs to inform that I was an hour late for work.
My dreams are only about frustration. Why do I still have the dream where it's the last day of a semester and I just realized that I'm signed up for a class that I haven't been attending all semester? Or that I can't get to class on time?
It's been almost eight years since I finished grad school.
I heard a Celine song while at the grocery store yesterday, so that could be that reference. But Mandy Moore? I haven't even seen Mandy Moore in months, I don't think.
I've had really two freaky nightmares. Both involving ghosts. In one, I dreamt that a ghost was trying to choke me. All I could do was moan. That woke Ivan up, and he woke me up.
In the other one, Ivan and I were being chased by ghosts in a convertible. A large ghost pulled him from behind the wheel. I woke up, screaming, with my left arm in the air.
That really freaked him out.

Ohhh, I dream all the time that it's the last week of high school and I have to take my exams, but I can't remember my schedule and I haven't been going to half the classes. It's just silly. Or I dream that I find out all these years later that I didn't graduate and that I have to go back as an adult.
ETA: Not that I consider myself an adult or anything.
I'm listening to "A Perfect Lie".

I dreamed that I would get up on stage for my auditions and forget all the words for one of my songs.
And then it really happened.
I want ham, mashed potatoes, and ham gravy.

I want to go home and take a nap.
I want breakfast.
I can explain the choking ghost, actually. Were you in your room when it happened? You might have been experiencing sleep paralysis. It's harmless, and a lot of people have it.
Basically, when you're asleep, most of the muscles in your body shut down to keep you from thrashing around too much and hurting yourself. This also includes your breathing muscles. You're still breathing, of course, but not in the manner that you do when you're awake.
Sleep paralysis occurs when your brain starts to wake up before your body does. It feels like you can't breathe because you can't control your breathing like you normally do, and you feel like you can't move because your body is still shut down for sleep. And there are often vivid hallucinations, because you're still dreaming even though you're partially awake.
It's pretty scary but ultimately harmless. It used to happen to me quite often. I found it was much more likely to happen if I got up and did something (like go to an 8:30 class) and then returned to bed for an hour or two more of sleep. And I rarely have the luxury of doing that anymore.

Yeah, I was in my room, asleep.
Both times happened when I was on my back.
I usually sleep on my side or on my chest.

It's interesting that you say that because the same thing happens to me. I usually sleep on my stomach, and on the rare occasion I sleep on my back, I have a nightmare. Almost every single time.
Yeah, sleep paralysis also happens to me if I sleep on my back. I don't hallucinate and I'm pretty much alert, except that I can't move my limbs or open my eyes. I read that if you bite your tongue, it's suppose to break the paralysis. But I never remember to do that. I just thrash around until I come out of it.

I've also done that.
I just got a letter from Pace offering me a scholarship of $13,000 a year. Too bad I won't get in for my intended major. Urgh.

I have a friend who ended up being a double major because of similar scholarship fine print.
At least they like you enough to offer you money for SOMETHING! :-P
No one offers you money, Jaily?
Oh how I wish.
Hi Jaily! How was the Wild Party? How are you?
