I was with a friend from work and my two roommates, and the roomies LOVED it while my friend and I hated it. There were bits I liked, and the performances were uniformly good (with the odd exception of the lead), but the material was just so inert that even mildly funny lines fell flat because they had to try SO, SO hard. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, though, and I don't doubt it'll do well box office-wise. At least half the audience when I was there seemed to love it.
It was funny, Michael Musto and Lynn Yaeger were there, and we passed them on the way in, on the way out, and then 45 minutes later on West 4th Street. Very odd.
