I have to say I agree with NotScott about A FAREWELL TO ARMS - I generally like "crap like Hemingway," (really, Taz, twist the knife why don't you? ) but I was disappointed when I read it too.
That just reminds me of an episode of DESIGNING WOMEN when someone asks Suzanne if she knew what A FAREWELL TO ARMS is about, and she says, "I don't know. I guess it's about someone who loses their arms."
Stagey, hand me the newspaper.
No, the Arts and Leisure section.
*whomps SM2 on the head*
Johnny Depp is freaking me out.
Why are you posting a picture of Sarah Palin, stagey?
'Cause she scares the bejesus out of me! I thought we were listing our irrational fears. Wrong thread?
I don't think fearing palin is irrational at all.
True that.
Incidentally, "Palin" is another name I never heard until last year. Then 3 months ago I watched RACHEL GETTING MARRIED and they mention a character with the surname Palin. And last week, I heard the name in real life while waiting at the post office. The person in front of me was named Something Palin.
There's Michael Palin too.
From Monty Python.
What kind of name is "Something"?
You so silly!
I was filling in the blank. I couldn't recall his first name.

*sigh*
No one around, huh?
*pops in* hai
Johnny Depp is freaking me out.
I can handle Depp's pedo Willy Wonka but something about the Mad Hatter is creepy. My worst fear would be waking up and seeing him at the foot of my bed, just leering at me all creeper mccreeperson-like.

Ladies, I dropped my laptop running to put clothes on when my super barged into my apartment to check for leaks, and now the screen is completely broken. I'm going crazy without internet at home!
The cover story in Vanity Fair about Johnny Depp (recent, I think) made him seem like he'd be a lot of fun to hang out with, but I'm not buying the Mad Hatter/Wonka redux. Actually, I'm worried about all of the Burton Alice in Wonderland. It just looks CGIed within an inch of its life.
What were you doing with your laptop and no clothes on when the super barged in?
Wearing pink underwear and reading BWW, of course... that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Of course you were sticking to the underwear -- does that answer your question, taz?
I don't stick to anything! Things just glide right off me... which makes wearing a belt necessary at all times.
Ugh, this weather is killing me. The footbridge that leads to our cottage has been underwater for the past three days, the lake is nearly a foot higher, and our dock tried to float away!
Anyone else up? I know it's a little early for the night owls, but having this thread on page three was killing me.
Hey scott, what new? Where is this cottage?
Scott,
You are too funny.
Holla diva! What's up?
Can't sleep. After show energy.
What show are you working on now?
