Hah I missed a whole conversation about me! So yeah...that other AKIVA was definitely me. I guess I had another log-in at some point that I am pretty sure I have NEVER used and totally forgot about, but when I was logging-in recently I used my other email address and unknowingly was not in my usual account.

And yes my friends always come to me whenever they hear the name Akiva in the media. Akiva Goldsman won an Oscar for Beautiful Mind (A.K.A...the boring version of Fight Club), there is a New York based musician named Akiva, and the one most people reference at parties when they meet me is Akiva Schaffer, of Lonely Island fame who writes and directs for SNL.

About to drive up to the cottage for the rest of the weekend! Second weekend in a row. In Toronto "the cottage" is the equivalent of "The Hamptons"...its where rich people go on the weekends. I am certainly the opposite of rich, but I am sort of the Dan Humphrey or Tom Ripley of my group of friends...the poor kid they like to keep around because I make for a good party and cheap entertainment...hah and I wouldn't have it any other way. Barbequing and skinny dipping here I come!

And just when I thought the BWW boards couldn't get any gayer than a bunch of queens arguing back and forth about theatre, I came here. I have seen the light. The big, rainbow-colored light.

I don't actually get the concept of these megathreads on the OT board, but whatever. I like the idea of wearing feathered church hats. Can we sing all the church lady songs from THE COLOR PURPLE while we do so?

BTW: scott, I read that none of the original voice cast (i.e. Billy West, Katey Sagal, John Di Maggio) is coming back for the FUTURAMA revival, which is turning out to be more of a reboot by the looks of it. You still have faith?

Stagey, my friend has that on his FB status and also said why bother making them all. I've never seen any of it, but I gather that's a bad thing.

I've never seen the show either, but fans aren't gonna be pleased. That's be like bringing, say, MARRIED WITH CHILDREN back and recasting it with different actors. What's the point? Create a new show instead. I'm glad FAMILY GUY came back intact. The only recasting they did on that show is "Meg." Mila Kunis is the voice now, but it was a different actress for the pilot and I think the first couple episodes.

BTW: How are you, girlie? Is boobs back yet? He "warned" me (heh) a few months back that he was returning in the summer, but I haven't seen him post lately.

Original Meg was Lacey Chabert aka Gretchen Weiners! Which I think is hilarious, but a. I love Mila Kunis and b. Meg is a waste of a character anyway, so c'est la vie.

I don't know that I necessarily still have faith, Stagey, but ANYTHING to avoid watching the freaking pilot at 1 am on Comedy Central yet another time.

Akiva, I'm at our cottage too, but in my case "the cottage" is less the Hamptons, more... Coors Light-fueled banter with aunts and uncles while the toddlers try to keep the dogs from fighting.

I'm feeling kind of gypped because I read a bunch of crap to put off reading A Farewell to Arms because I wanted to give it the attention it deserved... but then I really didn't like it very much.
