I saw Wild in the Streets during its original theatrical release. I'm now older than those depicted in the film. I haven't seen it, since. I don't think it has anything to do with its age. I remember laughing at it, then!
I just watched the american version of Life on Mars for the first time. Am I in the minority of people who liked it? Everyone that's seen the UK version thinks that the US version is a piece of bologna.
Also, It is much more fun to spell bologna than to say it.
I know Life on Mars came on right after a show I watched, because I've seen the credits several times, but I can't for the life of me think of what it was.
Anyone see The September Issue? I'm watching it for the scandal/gossip factor, but it's actually strangely melancholy and almost... elegiac, although the fact that it covers a season from two years ago might add to that factor.
Everything about Wintour is melancholy.
I mean, she seemed as personable as possible in the documentary, and my opinion of her definitely improved, but... she's not the star of the show, strangely enough.
Let's go dancing, y'all!
I'm game.
Heh, nice edit from your original post, taz.
My roommate and I were going to go see the exhibit on Afghanistan at the Met, but instead we're going to go see District 9. Those are comparable, right?
Well I think District 9 will more culturally satisfying.
What edit?
Unfortunately, District 9 was sold out, so we saw... The Ugly Truth. I don't know which is worse, that we paid money to see it, or that I didn't hate it as much as I wanted to. I mean, Katherine Heigl is a vile, crap-spewing succubus from hell, and Gerard Butler looks like what would happen if you drew stubble on a potato with a sharpie, but I just couldn't completely dislike the movie. Ick.
spot on about Heigl. What a bee-yotch.
I know, and it's for absolutely no reason. I mean, go ahead and talk crap about your past roles if you want, but recognize that they're THE ONLY REASON YOU ARE FAMOUS. You're too ashamed of your work one season on Grey's Anatomy to submit it for Emmy consideration? B!tch, you were in Romy and Michele the PREQUEL!
Or when she dissed Knocked Up while on the promotional tour.
Isn't it in their contracts that they have to do a reasonable amount of publicity? I don't think they meant negative publicity.
Speaking of Romy & Michele, at my sister's wedding this past Saturday I had wanted to get two of the bridesmaids (I was a groomsman) to do the "Time After Time" dance with me, but they were too shy and self-conscious. I thought it would've been a funny touch. But I guess there aren't many people who don't mind making a fool of themselves in public.
Well that doesn't describe anyone on this thread.
I've tried to make a fool of myself in public, but I'm just so attractive it just doesn't work!
Mmhmm.
LOL, stagey!
This Golden Girls episode is making me cry. I think I need to get a life.
Which eppy is that, scott? The series finale?
The one where Sophia is losing her memory, actually. And it's not even the first time I've seen it, sadly enough. The first time I cried when she *spoilers* found the heart Sal carved for her and the second time, I cried when she was talking about how growing old had taken plenty from her, but she wasn't going to lose Sal to it, not again. I swear, if movies don't stop making me cry soon, people are going to start taking me for a bottom!
Saw Coraline tonight. Loved how dark it was. Seriously, much scarier than most of the horror movies I watch.
Stunning to behold also, but don't waste your time with the 3-D version. They always look so washed out.
In the past two days, I read all four of the Twilight books, plus saw Britney Spears in concert. I may never come this close to being a preteen girl again.
Fierce!
Tazzy dearest - I come in serach of your knowledge.
I'm getting bored with my music, and you know my music tastes, can you suggest some singers/groups/etc for me to look for?????
