Johnny Cash was completely influenced by the blues. Most early country music was.

I haven't yet learned to appreciate the man in black however.

What I love about Etta now is she finally accepted life - her life, as it is - it took a LONG time! And now, all she does is sing for folks who want to hear - being produced and accompanied by her sons. She thinks I'm an idiot for drinking like I do with the history of diabetes in my fam - that's what REALLY woke her ass up! - but I just remind her that I am DECADES younger than she is

Beyond, Taz - she is the Goddess Everything you would imagine her to be, she is. You couldn't be her and be otherwise!

And keep checking out Cash - he's the real deal. Like Elvis - which some might argue, but I don't.

Actually, DG, I've heard that Cash greatly influenced young Elvis. Some even go as far as to say that Elvis "stole" from him.

I have SERIOUS fond memories of seeing CLAMBAKE on a big screen - but that's because his costar was Bill Bixby

I didn't come to my Elvis love til later.

We go to Idylwild frequently, and they STILL carry on about the movie he filmed there.

I don't do 'scents'. Don't even like cologne. Wash them, dry them - oil them if needed - but that's about it.
