My calender says that it's December 25th, same as last year.
At least Hanukkah isn't too early this year but I prefer when it runs over Christmas.

You only had 359 days to get ready for it.
All I know is that it's ridiculous that they've had Christmas stuff in the stores for a few weeks already, and my neighbors are starting to put up Christmas lights. I mean really.
The sooner we start Christmas, the sooner we can start the WAR ON CHRISTMAS! (cue Fox graphic)
Clearly, Disney doesn't think so with the release of their bastardization of A Charismas Carol three weeks before Thanksgiving!
As long as I'm getting presents it can never come too early!
Seriously though, I am jonesing to play my xmas music.
CSonBroadway, if you mean are stores pushing Christmas a bit early, no it's not any different than any other year. As a child in the late 70s, I always remember saying, "oh it must be Labor Day because Caldor's has their Christmas decorations up".
You should try being in the UK, where we don't make that much of Hallowe'en and don't have Thanksgiving as a handy buffer between Back to School and Christmas. Yuck. XP Although I did buy my first Christmas present yesterday, so I'm two days ahead of my personal schedule of acceptability. D:
I just took my tree down yesterday from last year.

As an ex-retailer I can tell you- people start bitching if you don't have the Christmas stuff out on the day after Labor Day.
I remember walking into a Hallmark shop in the early-to-mid 90s. I was with a friend and she needed to get a birthday card for her brother so it had to be early July. The Christmas ornaments were already on display. My friend had a fit and started scolding the employees.
"Seriously though, I am jonesing to play my xmas music."
HA! I felt the same way this morning so I listened to my Carpenters Christmas Album while running errands. Love it!
The drug store down the street from my shop had the brilliant display of pilgrims holding jack-o-lanterns and switched it to large nutcrackers on the 30th of October.
Carpenters Christmas is acceptable even in March. Thus sayeth the lord.

I'm with taz and Jordan, I just HAD to hear my fav Christmas song, "Baby, It's Cold Outside" performed by Liza and Alan Cumming, and before I knew it Audra was vocalizing over JRB's piano on "White Christmas". I am an admitted Christmas music nerd and HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS is my fav of them all.
Wish it was snowing instead of raining right about now...

It's snowing here. Come on over!
I'm on my way, Stock! I'll roll up the fun if you have a VERY dirty martini waiting for me when I get there!

Totally agree. It's not Christmas time until I turn on 103.3's Christmas music with Delilah.
Oh, gosh, TheatreFan! For TEN years I had to listen to that for 8 straight hours a day at work from Halloween to New Years!
THAT's why I became so obsessed with the Broadway Christmas, as a respite!
Though Delilah DOES pick some of the better ones, if I hear songs from Mariah's Xmas album or the Chipmunks ONE MORE TIME...

P.S. HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS:CAROLS FOR A CURE... any chance we will get a vol 2? The regular CAROLS FOR A CURE are fine, but I prefer the solo performers.

Is THAT what Delilah looks like? Not what I pictured at all.
In my head, she always looked like CCH Pounder for some reason.
Diva, my friend's tree has been up since Christmas 2007. They took the decorations off, but never got around to taking the tree down. Same thing last year. Decorated it, undecorated it, and left it in the corner.
