Is it just me or does Ms. Applegate always seem stuck up and snooty?

I have thought this for awhile and she said something along the lines of "Pepole did not want to buy tickets if I was not in it", on the tv guide pre-show talking about her foot. I am not judging her, but was wondering if anyone felt the same way?

I think her STUNT DOUBLE'S prat fall was amazing.

I don't know her personally, and I'm not implying that she is, but yes, she did seem QUITE stuck-up on the preshow.

Some thoughts...she saved the show. She knows it. Everyone else knows it. So she acknowledges it, though not too modestly.

On the other hand, when I met her in Boston, she seemed very nice.

However, something that annoys me a bit about her is that when Letterman asked her when she would leave the show, she picked the first chance she could. I understand she has been with it for a very long time, but when you finally make it to Broadway, you shouldn't just say, "well, I made it, when can I leave?" because that is what is feels like to me.

If I ever made Broadway, I'd set up camp and go buy food surplus to last me for my life. I'd never leave.

::hugs her future theatre, wherever that may be::

But I suppose people with the talent to get there think that once they've made it, it's a sign that there are bigger things to come for them.
This is my signature.

My one experience with her was a positive one. I was working at Coffee Bean a few years ago while still in school and she came in for a drink. SO humble, SO sweet, SO kind and gracious about everything from the second she walked in to the moment she walked out. She wasn't all dolled up trying to get attention...in fact, I had to do a double take and read the name on her credit card just to know for sure it was her. VERY LOVELY GIRL!!! I wish her all the best. And though I haven't seen her in the show I'm not going to judge her soley on the Tony performance. God knows she must have been nervous as hell. And as someone else mentioned in another thread, even Idina had a really off Tony performance... GO CHRISTINA!

I have to say that if Christina weren't in Sweet Charity, people would not be buying tickets.
"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.
