So, it is about time for everyone who does this sort of thing to start getting offers for their summer theatre work!
I have been offered a position with a company that is doing Annie. I thought I might have a chance at the chorus but it turns out I will just be a kid-wrangler! Oh well, at least it is in the "theatah".
Who else is getting offers?
I'm getting offers, but not in the theater...pay sucks tho.
It could be worse Sueleen, I've also been offered a position with a company doing Annie. I'll be Sandy's "scooper"
I got a great offer for work this summer (and beyond!). I'm signing the contract today!
Plus, I'm going to be singing in a world premiere production from the team which created SPAMALOT at Caramoor in July! A theatrical-concert performance!
It's going to be a wonderful summer!
That is wonderful, Addy. And Somms, as they say, "It's a ****ty job but someone has to do it."
I actually turned down my summer gig this year. I've been doing it for 4 summers now, and I need the break.
I plan to once again spend the summer being amazed at people's obsessions.
So I guess that would be a "NO" from Rath.
Anyone else have any summer theatre work lined up yet?
sadly, no, since the gaiety closed times have been tough.
What about you, Sueleen? What do you plan to do this summer, besides obsessing over me? You must have SOME free time left over.
Rath, did you read the original post? If you have nothing to add why do you keep coming back to this thread?
And no, once again, it is not all about you.
You really should have that looked at by a professional.
No, no summer work for me....sniff!
Ah, well. I'll just kick it for my first New York summer!
Right Now? Dieting for....
"International Mister Leather" - Chicago, IL
"Up Your Alley" - San Francisco, CA
"Lazy Bear" - Guerneville, CA
Must...fit...into...chaps!
Brava!
Congrats Addy!
Hairspray overload.
Comicon, Disneyland, hopefully Portland - we'll see whatelse.
Working at a summer camp again specializing in providing one to one support for children with disabilities. There is a drama area at camp that kids go to once a week where they get to do skits, and as counselors we put on skits for the kids during campfires and all-camp games. Does that count?

i'll hopefully be working at hot topic and seeing shows at "the space" for free because they pay for you to go to concerts if you work at hot topic.
i hope to go to nyc at least once to visit my friends, less the band <3
DC,
sales conf in Connecticut or New Hampshire....it's one of those small states,
going to watch after cruel enlists so that I can watch all that hair be cut
who knows.....
I guess I'm just paranoid, eh, Sue? All these crazy coincidences - I'm sure that's all it is. Mmmhmmmmmm.
Well, I really wanted to go to a local Musical Theatre camp but the final week of camp, right before the show, I have to go to San Jose for a mennonite retreat that I don't really want to go to anyway. So instead I have attend a lessr musical theatre program that's doing Guys and Dolls.
My past two summers have been fantastic, I don't know how this one is going to live up to them.
Except I'm seeing Patti LuPone in Gypsy, which might just make everything worth it...
I was offered a paid internship at Seaside Music Theatre back home in Daytona Beach! Yay!! i'll be in the Marketing/Deveopment office helping with the childrens's shows. Not sure what to expect, but I am excited!
I will continue to work at the theater and on weekends, I go to the shore.
I love the summer!
