exactly. My stance is most likely a result of hearing DOUBT 6 times a week. lol

Lines (and I paraphrase here) like

--innocent things can look guilty to the poisoned mind

--I feel if I take action to protect myself, I will only do further damage

remind me that MY history and prejudices with this subject do not bear light on THIS man and his guilt or innocence.

And that like DOUBT, we DO NOT KNOW.

Well let's look at some undisputed evidence: Books of photography of naked boys. He brags of sleeping with young boys.

Item one indicates desire, item two indicates the opportunity.

Even if he didn't molest them, giving them wine and sleeping with them constitutes inappropriate behavior. He can be convicted on the lesser count of intoxicating a minor, even if the jury finds the evidence insufficient for a guilty verdict on the more serious counts.

But whatever he did with them was inappropriate, whether you call it molestation or not.

Count 3: Lewd act on a child under 14 (molestation episode alleged by accuser.)


Count 4: Lewd act on a child under 14 (molestation episode accuser's brother says he witnessed.)


Count 5: Lewd act on a child under 14 (molestation episode brother says he witnessed.)


Count 6: Attempted lewd act on a child under 14 (accuser's allegation Jackson tried to get the boy to masturbate him.)


Count 7: Administering alcohol to enable child molestation (related to molestation in Count 2; included lesser offense of furnishing alcohol to a minor.)


Count 8: Administering alcohol to enable child molestation (related to molestation in Count 3; included lesser offense of furnishing alcohol to a minor.)


Count 9: Administering alcohol to enable child molestation (related to molestation in Count 4; included lesser offense of furnishing alcohol to a minor.)

I think he may be convicted of the 4 lesser charges of furnishing alcohol to a minor, but that's it.

Acquitted on all counts. Not surprising to me.

Why? What if he IS innocent?

Like I said before--I hope (and believe) that the verdict reflects the truth.
