JESSICA SIMPSON is desperate to hone her acting skills on the London stage - but will consider nothing less than a role in a WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE play.
The 25-year-old beauty, who plays sex-bomb DAISY DUKE in the big screen version of THE DUKES OF HAZZARD, now considers herself a seasoned actress and is convinced a classic production would finally eradicate her dumb blonde image.
Simpson says, "When I arrived in England the first thing I did was go straight to the Globe Theatre.
"For me that is the home of acting and writing.
"I have always loved Shakespeare. That's the job I want - anything at the Globe."

Doesn't she mean it WAS the home of acting and writing? No one has written anything for the Globe Theatre in almost 400 years.
But surely there's a role for her somewhere. Maybe Audrey from AS YOU LIKE IT?

She can't count - I doubt she knows when the last play at The Globe was written but God Love her! I just adore her! Almost as much as Karen Ziemba!

Moving to England worked for Madonna and Gywneth Paltrow.
Has anyone told her that Shakespeare was written to be played by men? LOL
She should get an acting coach that has been trained in Shakespeare and work with the material for awhile. Why should we pay big bucks to see her butcher the Bard?

how do we know that jessica actually said that?
"considers herself a seasoned actress"?!?!? um, she was in Dukes of Hazard for like 10 minutes.
she didn't say this, voiceanth was being snarky and funny.
This reminded me of the scene in Julie Brown's MEDUSA: DARE TO BE TRUTHFUL where Medusa's actor boyfriend is trying to help her through one of Juliet's monologues....hee-larious!!!
