She's always had weight issues. Why WOULDN'T she admit it?
There's also no way she hasn't had surgery. You can't yo yo like that and keep your skin taut.

Janet Jackson will be on the cover of "Us Weekly" this Friday looking a lot skinnier than she did at the beginning of the year. That's because Janet has dropped 60 pounds in four months, after getting up to 180 pounds for a movie role that she ultimately had to give up in order to record her new album. Janet tells "Us", "The timing didn't quite work with trying to finish my album, and unfortunately I wasn't able to do the film. So I found myself having to take this weight off a lot quicker than I had planned." Ladies, if you want to lose weight, use Janet as your guide. No fads and no pills here. Janet dropped her weight the old-fashioned way: diet and exercise. She says she ate balanced meals and worked out with her trainer. Janet's new album, "20 Years Old", hits racks on September 26th. As for the movie Janet had to walk away from, it's a drama called "Tennessee". And the part she was gonna play has gone to Mariah Carey.

I saw the cover, it looks photo-shopped in a big way. I think a celebrity weight-loss confessional is worth much better press than the "I gained weight for my art" BS. It's much more humanizing. Who doesn't identify with someone who has a problem? I bet realizing the truth about her brother freaked her out and brought out a lot of her own molestation issues.

Raise your hands if you believe Janet actually took that weight off "the Old Fashioned Way", i.e. lipo, bulemia and pills.

We all know how Janet Jackson lost the weight; pills, drugs and barfing. However, the true question remains:
I swear to god I didn't read Perez Hilton before now, nor am I said person.

This is more stupid than the boobie hardware incident. She is no longer a Jackson, just a Jack-ass.

Isnt that how Oprah has lasted so long on tv?

Sixty pounds in four months is wayyyyy too fast. You should safely only lose up to 2 lbs a week.

That's the excuse I always give for my extra (super sexy, of course) padding. It's all for my ART! I'm playing Fatty Arbuckle in Nobody Loves a Fatty, an all new movie made especially for the ABC Family Channel.

That's a bit awkward even for an "US" cover.
I too am sick of the whole "vissi d'arte" thing.
hmm, sounds like an intriguing movie, I always felt Mariah Carey's film career was cut short after her revelatory performance in that masterpeice GLITTER...oy.

I find it extraordinarily hard to believe that someone can lose that amount of weight in that period of time through diet and exercise.

Janet Jackson, like her brother, has a great propensity for telling lies and expecting people to believe what she says simply because she says it.
I remember two albums ago she was promoting a new, well, "song" isn't quite the word, a new melody that was devoid of a pop hook but had a repetitive rhythm and a lot of mumbling which was totally lip-sunc on the David Letterman Show. The point of the "number" I guess you could call it, was to show off her abdominal area. Letterman made a comment to her later along the lines of "you must work out all the time," which seemed obvious but Miss Jackson hastened to correct him. "Oh no, I really don't, I'm terrible about that."
I know show biz is an illusion, but what is WITH these people?
"I'm just fading to white, it happens all the time, Blanket, bring me my Jesus Juice will you honey?"

Diet and exercise?? Isn't this the woman who used to owe her body to her daily coffee colonics? What diet is that?
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

What professional actor would gain 60lbs for a role that was not a signed and sealed deal? What professional actor would gain 60lbs. for a role that Mariah Carey could play. I mean I am sure they are not offering her very challenging scripts right now. Glitter 3?
PEACE.

A lying one. And even though her last album flopped and faded faster than anyone could have imagined, (given she once signed the biggest record contract in the history of biggest record contracts), why would she not be able to do the movie because of her album? Albums get delayed all the time. She's a LIAH, a liah is what she is.
