I wish a jokey prison rape reference didn't follow the verdict in every single high profile case. Not picking on you specifically, Roxy, it happens all the time on Facebook and in conversations.
He's gonna be so old when he gets out.

THIS. Also, I would fix your sentence to say "it happens all the time on Facebook and in EVERY conversation."
He was found guilty of 2 of the three counts related to the first accuser that came forward. That indicated he could have been convicted over a decade ago if officials at Penn State had done the right thing instead of trying to protect their precious football program.
I hope Penn State is driven into bankruptcy in the civil trials.

That is what is most troubling to me.
Also, I have a hard time believing that Dottie had no idea what was going on in her basement all those years.
And I don't even believe in hell but I hope Joe Paterno is rotting in it.

He's going to be in protective custody - in other words, in a 6'x8' cell 23 hours a day.
I heard that sentencing could be as long as 90 days from now.
They should throw him to the degenerates.
Has it been established if the wife knew what was going on? And will she be held accountable in any way?
I don't see how it can be proved that she knew what was going on, but I can't imagine that she didn't. It's not like it was one time.
She was apparently told to consult a lawyer, just in case.

Thank you. Women are also raped in prison, but as a culture we don't seem to find that so amusing or satisfying. Thank goodness.
One of the recurring skits on Sat Night Live is all based around prison rape--I really don't get it, even if it's about someone who has done as many reprehensible things as Sandusky. The only time I've ever written an angry email to a TV show or network was once to Jimmy Fallon's show. I love it, but the fact that nearly weekly there seems to be a joke about prison rape seriously brings me down from my love--as Gaveston says, it wouldn't be tolerated the same way.
Oh, and I'm pleased withe sentence.
I seriously believe that to a straight man there is a weird fetish, for man on man prison rape. Perhaps the only situation, where he could find it acceptable to be "Someone's Bitch". Look at the HBO series OZ. I am sure the majority of their audience was straight men.
That's an interesting point. I always assumed Oz had primarily a gay following among men--an assumption based solely on how much it was discussed by my gay friends and on forums, but recently my twin sister's boyfriend has apparently become hooked on it--and he would have been the last person I would expect to be (he does have a huge obsession for UFC too, though, so...)
I really don't want to hijack any thread--especially one on as serious a topic as Jerry Sandusky--with light banter, but....
Oz? For straight men??

Anyone remember the play SHORT EYES? Sandusky probably won't make it through his second day's lunch.
