I just saw a commerical for Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey having a variety hour. Dont know what to think about this...

Any thoughts?

This world would be a much better, not to mention less stupid, if Jessica made like Sadam Hussain and crawled in a hole like for awhile. I wouldn't mind... Would you?

Jessica Simpson is such a delight. She is defenitely young and makes alot of mistakes. WHich I'm sure she'll pay for. But she is entertaining. Perhaps it's her honesty. Not to mention, she can sing. So can Nick. I'm tuning in.

I don't like her. I don't like Nick. I don't know how she got this far. (My friends worship her like she has the best voice in the world, and I'm like "go hear Idina Menzel".) Sure- it's great she has success, and obviously her stupidity works, but even still... I don't understand the obsession with those two.

I tuned in and watched a few minutes, Jessica was singing with Kenny Rogers. Well, she's no Dolly Parton or for that matter, she's no Cher. I'm already sick of her cleavage.

What the hell was with her singing "Take My Breath Away"???? Good god, that girl could sing awhile ago, but now shes just trying to replicate the "breathy-whiny-screechy" sound like Britney does. And did anyone watch her body as she was singing? She looked like someone that has a horrible twitching problem, not to mention that awful disfiguration of her mouth. Man that was absolutely one of the worst things I think I've ever seen.

I think Jessica Simpson is way better than Britney Spears & Christina Agulara. Her songs are so much better.

I was hoping the Variety Hour would be cheesy...but it was worse than I ever could have possibly imagined. Nick and Jess are actually one of my guilty pleasures...but the skits last night seemed to be written by a third grade class. I noticed Jessica's twitching problem last night too...she was also twitching while singing with Kenny Rogers...I thought it was a part of her Dolly impression.

Saw Jessica Simpson on Ellen. She sang Take My Breath Away from Top Gun. There was nothing special going on. It was almost identical to the original (the backgrounds could have been from any karaoke CD) other than the pop-riff at the end of each phrase that everyone else does. She seemed like nothing more than an average contestant on American Idol or Star Search.
