I all ready have my choice for The Riddler
Damn, I wish they'd iron out all the legal bullsh*t and release the '60s series on DVD!
Now that was good TV.
I am pretty sure JGL as The Riddler was speculated about long before even the OP. Then again there were pretty ridiculous rumors for the part like Depp (he seems to be tied up in projects) and Williams (not a bad choice and a former Nolan collaborator). My favorite rumor was Eddie Murphy as Riddler and Cher as Catwoman. Riddler would almost have to be written a bit differently since lots of people have always thought Riddler and The Joker were similar. I think in Nolan's Batman universe, that is an easy task and I think JGL is up to it and will probably outshine Bale like he did in his scenes with DiCaprio in Inception. I personally wanted Michael Emerson for the part but mostly, l want a Vicki Vale/Selina Kyle/Talia al-Ghul included as a real female lead for the third film.
No one will ever be as good a Riddler as Frank Gorshin.
Now...who could we cast as Lord Fogg and Penelope Pea? What about Ma Parker?
I love JGL, What an actor he has turned in too. His performances in films like Mysterious Skin and Brick were incredible.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in talks to reunite with his Inception director Christopher Nolan in The Dark Knight Rises for Warner Bros. I'm not sure what role he'll play, but I'm told that he will be in the movie when Nolan starts production this spring. Gordon-Levitt will be done shooting the Rian Johnson-directed Looper with Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt by then. Gordon-Levitt has the indie Hesher coming out this spring, as well as Live With It, the Jonathan Levine-directed pic about a 27-year old who tries to overcome a cancer diagnosis. CAA-repped Gordon-Levitt established himself with indie films like Brick, the underrated Scott Frank-directed The Lookout, and the Marc Webb-directed (500) Days of Summer. Nolan keeps his films shrouded in secrecy, though he did life the veil recently to disclose that Anne Hathaway would play Selina Kyle (Catwoman) and Gordon-Levitt's Inception co-star Tom Hardy will play Bane. What role fits Gordon-Levitt?

Entertainment Weekly said he has officially signed on film the film, but the part he will play is unknown.
Joseph Gordon Levitt joins 'Dark Knight Rises'... but not as Falcone
I heard Juno Temple is supposed to play some street smart girl. Pretty sure it is not Talia al-Ghul, Batgirl (that would mean Barbara Gordon), Harley Quinn, and definitely not Montoya. Hot rumor was a female Robin but I have heard Bale saying he would 'bail' (for lack of a better word) if it becomes Batman & Robin. Vicky Vale? I am really hoping it is not an original character seeing as how much the Rachel Dawes experiment floundered.
re: JGL, I actually am hoping he is Alberto Falcone. It goes along with the story Nolan put in his Batman universe and I would love JGL to be a scenery chewing mobster.

Levitt's role has been confirmed. He will play John Blake, described as “a Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon [played by Gary Oldman].” His "Inception" co-star Marion Cotillard will be playing Miranda Tate, described as “a Wayne Industries board member eager to help a still-grieving Bruce Wayne [played by Christian Bale] resume his father’s philanthropic endeavors for Gotham.”
'The Dark Knight Rises' officially adds Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt to cast
I still think Cotillard's part is a red herring for her playing Talia (not like she can reveal her name and Ra's did go under the pseudonym Henri Ducard in Batman Begins).
I really hope they bring out other people in the Gotham Police Force. I really wanted Tom Hardy as Harvey Bullock to happen and I will be ticked off if the next female cast announcement does not involve Renee Montoya.
As for JGL, I really hope his John Blake is not supposed to be Johnny Blake. Nonetheless, I am not always a fan of Nolan's original characters for the series.
Seriously, did Bale's other commitments prevent him from starring in Inception b/c this is starting to feel like a cast reunion. I would even put money on there being another Cillian Murphy cameo as Scarecrow at this point.

Well, I am pretty happy with that bit of news. I hope it confirms my own personal theory that there could be another important character from the comics involved in this movie.
Edit - you seem spoiler sensitive, so maybe I should not say that.
I'm happy though, and also...you can never have too much Daniel Sunjata.
I'm not really spoiler sensitive but at the same time you never know. Someone might want to be surprised. I clicked on regardless of the spoiler alert.
Right. I generally like to be surprised, so I changed my post in deference to people as pernickety as me. There will come a point though when I cut myself off, even from trailers and the like.
