My goals for this summer (aside from getting a job and assistant directing the local musical and performing in Pirates of Penzance and co-writing-directing-acting in my own two-woman show) are to read lots of plays and select my audition pieces! I'm very sensitive about audition pieces (they freak me out), so I'm going to be very picky and selective about what I choose - they have to be personal to me, not just a difficult speech I dug up somewhere.

I feel pretty lucky that I basically have my audition pieces picked out and then some. I don't know where I would've been if it wasn't for my theatre teacher who makes us have audition folders.
2 more days and I am officially a senior!

I'm actually quite excited for finals this year because our drama teacher is organizing a grand board game extravaganza for the 3rd and 4th period finals day. It will probably be me and a few of the other drama nerds playing Kill Doctor Lucky and talking about Tom Stoppard. Sounds like heavan!

Where are you planning on applying next year? I've got a long list but its getting shorter.
New York University (Tisch, of course)
Emerson College
UCLA
UC Irvine
(those four are definite)
UC Santa Cruz (as a safety, although I know I would love it there)
Southern Oregon University (in Ashland)
Western Oregon University

But I am still excited.
I got a regulated call from Pace U. today, but the girl perked up so much when I told her I would be more interested in the NYC campus, and I was looking for a good musical theatre program.

Goshen doesn't do High-School-shows.

Why not go for loans with a state school then.
I know that the average tuition of a SUNY school these days is in the $5,000s.

I'm scared out of my mind. The last couple of kids who have graduated from my high school and applied for MT have gotten into schools that have...ick programs. Then there was that one girl who didn't really get in anywhere.

And my mom wants me to do the Unifieds (sp?) auditions. I'd rather die.
