I absolutley loved it and I soooooooo didnt think I would. It was so clever and well put together shockingly. The story which seems like it may be a bit too fluffy and light for some is not that at all. It IS a bit corny at times but the dramatic moments are unbelievably moving. Although it drags at some points (mostly during Alexis Bledel's character's parts), it always seems to get back in step with itself just right.

Posted: 6/4/05 at 1:51amthe pants are "magic" because they can fit each girl even though they're all completely different sizes. the pants also cause each girls personality to change slightly when they wear them.

I'll stop using it when I stop seeing the word "boi," another fag writer invention that I find twice as offensive.
But come on. Magic pants that fit every person??? It's like Sex & The City, Jr. I hope they wash them before they pass them around.

Saw this movie last night.
It's pretty much "Now and Then", except with pants.
And at one point one of the characters and thier mom sang a bit of "Nothing" from A Chorus Line. LOVED IT!

Deep down they have either seen it and LOVED IT, or they haven't see it, but want to....its ok...keep putting up a front....

Namo, the books are written by a woman, not a fag. And one of the rules of the Sisterhood is you must NEVER wash the pants!
I adore the books, and enjoyed the movie a lot ,but the books are much better. I hate how much flack this movie is getting because of the stupid title. Amber and America are my heros!

The books are my guilty pleasure, and the movie was cute. As with most book-movie adaptions, alot was lost in translation from print to screen.
EverythingisRENT - I love Amber Tamblyn.

Oh, for heaven's sake, Namo. You ran out of puppies to kick so you decided to go after a movie aimed at tween girls, instead?
Anyway, I would just like to state my complete nonsurprise at the revelation that Alexis Bledel's scenes aren't very strong.

First off, eww, that's a one-way ticket to Yeast-InfectionVille. I'm not sure that's a good example for young female readers of today.
Second off, Plum, where would we be without you turning everything you see as contentious into a mock trial? Others in this thread were able to have a sense of humor about something they like that has admittedly an ODD plot point.
Third, perhaps you should petition to have me banished to the adults-only thread? Oh, that's right, in previous mock trials you argued against the creation of such a thing as it would be exclusionary. Well, you made your bed, and I'm wetting it.
