So why do Republicnas have to bash her for her looks? She's far better looking than than the average woman her age-- not hat it matters one iota. And as far as the other candidates go, Edwards gets attacked for being TOO good looking- and the Republicans try to annoint Thompson as a sex symbol.

morosco, that is TRULY wrong. She's the only female candidate so we can't care about her actual qualifications or standings but we DO have to insult her looks at every turn? Why don't any of the male candidates get bashed for their bad looks? Kucinich isn't exactly Brad Pitt but THAT rarely gets brought up. It's sad that we still live in a society that is sexist enough to concentrate on an extremely well-spoken, qualified female candidates's appearance as opposed to her intellect.

Not to mention the fact that, because she IS a woman who is a public figure, she could look like freaking Halle Berry and still get insulted. Pathetic.

I watch the Sunday Morning Talking Head Shows. I don't know why, but I do. On MEET THE PRESS's roundtable this week, there was a to-do about Hillary showing tittie on the Senate floor. These middle-aged + men were saying it was perfectly fair for a Pulitzer winning fashion reporter to comment on Hillary's miniscule showing of tittie (actually, cleavage), saying it's important for these people to know how they'll be portrayed and that Hillary should know better.

I mean...what sort of crazy-assed misogyny-masked-as-fashion-critic-feminisim is going on in this world. I used to really like watching the Sunday Morning shows. I used to get a kick out of the McLoughlin Group acting like 5th graders in an unmoderated debate. But these people and their veiled misogyny that they don't even recognize as misogyny make my stomach turn. Can't was just do away with them now?
