While it isn't Kanye (who I think is very overrated) himself bringing attention to this, that idiot Shkreli offered to pay him $10,000,000. For first exclusive rights, yes ten million! Is this what he does with his reprehensible gouging of money for AIDS drugs? That in itself just bothers me; I'll pass on this, and listen whenever.

usually I can respect an artist's work at the same time as despising the person, but in Kenye's case, I don't see the art in him. The most artistic thing he did was wear that black glad tie garbage bag as a skirt.

It was a killer performance of some amazing songs. Did anyone say his music is supposed to make you get up and dance? He's not David Guetta or some other DJ, he's an artist. The album is finally out and it fvcking rocks!

"Life of Pablo" sounds to me like the aural equivalent of a painting an artist can't finish, so they keep adding more globs of paint until it is so far away from its original impulses it's unrecognizable.
But when I think of the masterpieces the guy has created, I can't join in on the "he's not an artist" stuff. I CAN join in on the criticism of the misogyny. The off-putting nature of the bravado (it's HIP HOP!). On the other hand, I can't listen to "All of The Lights (interlude)/All of The Lights" or "Runaway" from the brilliant "My Dark Twisted Fantasy" without thinking, "This is genius at work."
