Funny you should post this now; I just finished watching her perform "Sooner or Later" on the Sondheim at Carnegie Hall DVD, where she managed to be both sexy and hilarious.

I remember seeing her in "And the World Goes 'Round" at Olympia Dukakis's theatre in Montclair, New Jersey, before the show came to NY and thinking what a great triple threat she was.

I love her. She is my dance inspiration. She was in my thoughts tonight.

Everyone knows my deep love for La Ziemba.

Anyone who's a regular on this board knows how I feel - it's all been said...

One of the shelves near my entertainment center has the following:

LEADING LADIES DVD
SONDHEIM AT CARNEGIE VIDEO
IRA GERSHWIN AT 100 (taped off the TV)
CRAZY FOR YOU (with KZ) BOOTLEG VIDEO
WORLD GOES ROUND BOOTLEG VIDEO
STEEL PIER BOOTLEG VIDEO
NEVER GONNA DANCE BOOTLEG VIDEO
110 IN THE SHADE (with KZ) BOOTLEG VIDEO

Below it is a shelf with every CD on which she performs, plus a bootleg CD of her in CHICAGO.

By the way - the DVD of the SONDHEIM CARNEGIE HALL concert is now available at deepdiscountdvd.com for the price of $2.99 - including shipping! I ordered it last week.

Bebe Neuwirth appreciates our girl too - at least her legs - she once told Karen she should never wear pants.

I seem to recall KZ appearing in a tastefully shot feature in "Playboy" in '84 while she was in A CHORUS LINE.

i'll be seeing her at TUTS tomorrow night, and wish i could see FOLLIES. Always wanted to see McKechnie as Sally too...and Rath, let's hope La Ziemba wears a dress "for legs."

Her singing has improved tenfold over the years, and I marvel at the fact that she doesn't settle for being as good as she was in her last show - every time I see her, she's improved in some way, however subtle.
