Kathy Griffin/Anderson Cooper New Year's Eve

Is anyone else getting tired of this woman trying to get into Anderson's pants each year? In past years her seductive humor was at best "amusing." But since Cooper has publicly declared his gayness, I find these seduction attempts boring and pointless. When she was grinding her ass into his crotch, he made it clear he was neither aroused nor amused. And how many times did she drop to her knees in an attempt to fellate him? 15? 20? It got very boring. And the comment about Kim Kardashian's vagina was so inappropriate. I felt embarrassed for her and angry at CNN for accepting her behavior as comedy. I think it's time for a new co-host for Mr. Cooper. How about Bette Midler. Or Kristin Chenoweth. Or Liza. Or how about Don Lemon. I suppose many fans tune in every New Year's Eve to see if Griffin will finally de-pants Cooper on live TV. Personally, I could care less. It's not funny anymore, Kathy. It really never was.

They used to be amusing back when it was more spontaneous. Once Kathy realized she could get under his skin she started to play to that and it became predictably outrageous. Now it's just not fun anymore, because it's become almost scripted.

Kathy Griffin has no sophistication-NONE! She rides a joke until it is beyond dead. She has gotten very far on very little. She has no class, no nuance. She likens herself to Joan Rivers but she isn't even close.

Coop needs a new co-host. I think Rivers, Midler, Liza ( who would be HOOT on live television) would be fantastic replacements.

Is it safe now to say I really, really don't like her? Crass humor can be funny, but not when it's intended for shock value.

I thought she was hilarious as always and thoroughly enjoyed it. But I get where you're coming from (fans still applaud Madonna's behavior which always baffles me). Kathy is just delivering what made her big in the first place, so I get why she's sticking with it.

She never pretended she did. Are you looking for something that was never meant to be there? She branded herself to have no class, sophistication or nuance. Personally, not having any of those things is precisely why I like her so much. I look for other qualities in other comedians, which makes for a nice variety of comedic styles.

I enjoyed it but a lot of stuff got censored and Honey Boo Boo and family getting interviewed was pretty anti-climatic, though I had no expectations about it. They're clearly buddies and I doubt one would host a NYE gig without the other.

Plus I need a channel to avoid the 'entertainment' on other shows, like Train singing "Imagine".

Well, she's funnier than Sarah Silverman or Whitney Cummings...

I think they should move Kathy to do a NYE thing on Bravo with Andy Cohen. They could give Chelsea Handler to Anderson Cooper? Or Anderson Cooper can do it shirtless - no co-host needed.

I like Kathy Griffin and vulgar comedy, but I don't think Joan Rivers can really be considered "classy".

I wouldn't like Kathy if she were like Joan Rivers, ie, with a pit of rage and fury where her heart ought to be. I like watching Katherson together, but this year maybe Kath should have thought of some different directions to take things in. I think we get the fact that he's always going to be uptight and I love when he pretends to have no understanding of the meaning of the words she uses, but the attempted beej is less funny now that he's out and definitely less funny the 15th time in a row.

I'm still glad I watched them, and maybe we won't have them to kick around anymore once the odious Zucker dumps Cooper from CNN for Ann Curry. On the other hand, if Bravo used them, perhaps it could be more structured. I would love more walk-ons by celebrities neither of them recognize.

PS I think she might have mentioned 82 or so times that she's on Letterman tonight.

I really enjoy Kathy. Some of her shtick with Anderson is getting old..but who cares. Also.. I am not sure but isn't that pic of Anderson getting spray tanned old? Years ago he had done a segment on tanning..
