Has anyone heard any of them? They're not exactly new, but they're for her new album. This is my favorite song so far--it's called Close Your Eyes. A few of my friends said they didn't like it because, "it doesn't sound like her".
I love it--it's so pretty.
What do you guys think?
"Close Your Eyes"
I think that she needs to get back to how the "Breakaway" Album sounds.
Of course it sounds like her, lol. I like it, don't love it. Big fan, though!
thats a good song. It sounds completely different from her other albums but It still sounds great.

The "Breakaway" album, where she was doing a TON of screaming?
I LOVE the CD (it's my favorite of the 3), but she hurt her voice because of that music. I wish she could make music like that again, but she can't even sing Since U Been Gone like she used to because she screamed out her voice.
Well, she didn't ruin her voice making the album. She did that by constantly singing those big songs in concert. She remains the only American Idol that I think is great.
Her last cd she did (My December) was Ok it had a few amazing tracks and a few not so good ones. My favorite album was (Breakaway) every song was excellent.
I really liked My December.
I like this demo as well...I can't wait for the new album.
I like it. Way better than anything on her last album. I realize it's acoustic, but it has a distinctly folk/country feel to it.
Not Faith Hill country, Mary Chapin Carpenter country.
Seeing Kelly live was one of the best nights of my life.
I saw her live as well and she was great she really puts on an amazing vocal show. She sings her butt off.

I love her screaming (belting!)
Here's my KC thoughts
Thankful: Was such a wide range of tracks. Soul,Pop, R&B, it really was her test CD. She obviously had some success on it. I personally loved track 9 or 10 I can't remember. It was called Anytime.
Breakaway: By far her biggest success to date. Personally it's one of the few CD's that I can listen to the whole thing and not skip over a single track. I felt like it was a good mixture of what her record label wanted and what she wanted.
My December: Which was by far her most critically acclaimed album. I loved it. There were some tracks I didn't favor but it was mainly good. My only complain is that she was trying to hard to make an "F*** you Clive Davis" cd. Which I respect her alot turning down 10 million is alot. Most of these new acts would take.
Whatever her new ablum is, I'll buy and it'll probably be great!

The CD, according to Amazon is going to be released November 18th, I think.
I hope this cd does better than (My December). She did not release that many songs off of her last cd except for never again and was sober released as a single I don't remember?
Yeah Sober got "realeased" but yeah it still sold like 2 million records. I think the reason it did so good was all the bad press and people wanted to see what cause the drama.
I thought My December had some potential singles singles that were never released. "How I Feel," in particular, is insanely catchy and fun.
I think the best song off My December was Irvine what a great song. Actually now that I listen to it again there were some great songs on it. There should have been more hits.

How I Feel was rumored to be the next single, but her record company decided against it or something.
I LOVE Irvine. That doesn't sound anything like her either. I love the story that goes with it (according to Wikipedia). Such a heartbreaking song.
(How I feel) was a good song. I hope they put her new single out fast so people don't forget about her.

I hope the same thing happens to here that happened to Mariah Carey. MC dropped off the face of the earth then her Emancipation of MiMi cd BLEW UP!
"Irvine" is absolutely gorgeous. I like that those demos seem to tend more toward the style of that song, but at the same time, I didn't find any of them particularly great on first listen. Which is sad, because I love Kelly.
speaking of Kelly I just watched From Justin to Kelly on Tv.
