Don't under estimate the star power of these two. Taraji, while there will be time in-between, is coming off a very successful Netflix film. Not to mention, these two won't be opposed to doing the media circuit as much as possible.

I'm always baffled when people think someone like Miley Cyrus, one of the biggest names and stars in the world would be what? A 4th replacement? Same for Cynthia. Not the caliber of Miley but still a recognizable name and talent who in my opinion, is too good to be a replacement to the replacement to the replacement to the replacement. 

Nicole was PHENOMENAL. Shame she's hideous. (That sarcasm before you all overreact). 

Again with the damn empty seats?!

Shows like the Tony Awards change until the very last minute...but seems silly to think a petition done less than a week out is going to warrant real change.

You do realize performances are funded by producers of shows? CBS doesn't give two rips about your petition. If the producers ponied up the cash, she'd be on the show.

She'll be there. Nominated. THAT is her representation. 

The last show to release this much footage before opening night was Lempicka.

Not sure how credible it is, as it's not a direct source, but I heard they may be pushing back opening night and cancelling a few previews to make some changes? Any word on this? Seems to me it's a bit too late....

From the little information Ive been told, they're thinking 24-25 and yes, the lavish production that made it a hit. 

A friend of mine connected to Disney Theatricals recently mentioned that Disney was back talking about a BATB revival but they wanted the Palace back. Looks to me...that may now be an option with Tammy failing. 

This is such a fun thread topic that reminds me of the good ole days of BWW.

Harsh truth but the dwarves wouldn't be CGI if a Hollywood actor hadn't gotten involved. Call me crazy but all he did was ensure little people didn't get the jobs.

I've heard rumblings that Dreamgirls still has a heartbeat but with packed 24-25 season they're pushing back to 25-26.

I've always loved to watch the marketing change at the theaters following award season. If anyone happens to grab pics of new marquees, posters, etc. I'd love to see them!

Doesn't sound like it was a timing issue, sounds more like it was a contract issue?
