Will I get pelted for saying that I would kind of like to see Christina playing Maureen or Mimi in RENT? I'm sorry, but somehting tells me her skanky bitchy ways would work for her and she could pull off both those roles without much need for acting. Let the pelting begin...

I think Kelly's the best American Idol we've had. Admittingly she should learn not to use her throat to sing, that's a problem I have, but I don't think that takes away from her amazing voice.

Liz Smith mentions in her column today that she believes Xtina is right for a big Broadway musical. Whatever. It's definitely possible.

And yes, Whitney Houston is absolutely the instigator of this endless, unnecessary, distracting riffing trend. And Kelly is certainly not the worst offender.

She's definitly a screamer. Vocally, I think she's at the bottom of the 3 idol winners thus far.

I think if Kelly could get with a voice teacher, she would be unstoppable. She truly has a gift and she blew me away the first season of AI. She and Christina both scream though. Christina had to cancel her entire summer tour due to strained vocal cords.

Another Kelly Clarkson fan checking in here. I think she's fantastic! I hear she's very involved with her second album and I've got high hopes for it. I think she's the real deal!
