What a jerk. I find this very easy to believe.

It doesn't make sense, though. Did the boss not know it was Kevin Spacey when he told the waiter to tell them to stop smoking?
Doesn't matter who it is,in my opinion. Sounds to me that the Boss was trying to cover his own ass.
Looks like rules don't apply to Spacey.
His 15 minutes of fame are fading. Hee has not had a hit movie in awhile, Seems to have an anger management problem.
So Madame Spacey breaks the law and then gets someone fired when they try to enforce the law. Sad, but typical. He should be fined whatever penalty is usually enforced for smoking in public places in the state of Rhode Island.
And if this guy really has an axe to grind, he should file a complaint--restaurants can lose their liquor licenses for allowing patrons to smoke in violation of the law.
Doesn't surprise me. Miss Spacey is a class A-Assh*le.
How interesting that someone on a Broadway message board would disregard a successful theatre career and say "not had a hit movie in awhile" as though Spacey's living in a cardboard box and eating out of McDonald's dumpsters.
No, I have nothing to say about the story, it's a bit he-said-she-said and I don't care one way or the other, but Roxy's comment just struck me as really funny. XD
He truly is, Jordan. I used to work at a hotel in NY where he was staying and he was just the nastiest most arrogant ****I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
Spacey is indeed an a**hole. My roommate had a bad experience with him. He witnessed someone else coming up to him asking to get a picture taken and Spacey gave the "I don't do pictures" line. Spacey was rude to other patrons, then hit on my roommate as he was seated next to him at the pub. My roommate, who is not gay, declined, however Spacey was ever persistent and didn't stop talking with him until my roommate left.
"it's a bit he-said-she-said"
Who's the "she" in this scenario, Weez? :-P
The young guy whose birthday dinner Spacey was hosting must've been his latest twink...
Taz, I've had the displeasure of being around him too many times and seeing how he treats people. Luckily he's never pulled any of that with me because even though I'm not on his "level" yet, I have no problem telling someone what they can do with their attitude when they pull stunts like this. Celebrity does not equal the privilege to be mean to anyone or to have the rules changed for your pleasure or comfort. That doesn't exactly make me popular with some people but those aren't people I care to be around anyways.
Also, how DARE you allude to the fact he's gay. His career would be ruined if it were known or even hinted at that he prefers the company of very young men. I mean, look what it did to Anderson Cooper. (Oh wait, he likes young Indian men)

That restaurant has the best damn onion soup on the planet. Spacey's a wad.
Spacey seems to be one of the few public figures on the planet about whom nobody has nice things to say. He may be a very solid actor, but every story you read and/or hear about him personally is negative.
He's not even that good of an actor. I can't remember the last time I saw him give a stage performance that was remotely appealing. His turn in A Moon for the Misbegotten was laughably bad and ruined an otherwise solid production.

Weez, you know what they say about Roxy's posts, if you don't laugh you'd be crying.

I'll second that.
Does not surprise me. He might be a great actor but he is the rudest person I have ever interviewed. Julie White tied though.
The weird thing is I have done over 100 in person interviews and 98 were all wonderful. Kevin was snotty and rude and it was so bad I wanted to smack the cocky sob but was a lady. It was for a large site and they never used it because he was a prick.
He thinks he owns the World and was rude to waitstaff at a few Drama Desk events and even had the nerve to ask me to go and fetch him a drink. I was there to Interview him and I tell you it took everything I had not to smack him in his teeth.

I want to hear about Julie White! Did you ask her why she quit Grace Under Fire?
OH THE STORIES.
But the best was at the Tony Awards a few weeks later. I was a seatfiller and was in her seat. WELL, She came from the back and instead of telling me it was her seat she stuck her elbow into my back really hard. The seat filler manager saw what she did and apologized for her behavior. A day after I had black and blue marks where she shoved her elbow into my back. The woman gives new meaning to the b word. Sadly, she was one of my favorite actors up until I met her. I realized she was not acting in the play about the nasty pr rep. She was just being herself. She and Spacey would make an ideal couple.
They were the only rude interviews of my career up till this point. Everyone else has been a delight. Julie gave me black and blue marks. What a witch.

Well there might be a little something in the way of those two being a perfect couple, if you know what I mean, if you get what I'm saying.
I would imagine seat filler manager is a very difficult job.
Kevin and Nick Adams should hang out. They have such high customer service standards. What a queen!

Kevin Spacey can not risk having Nick Adams shout "homophobia" from the rooftops should somebody look at them cross-eyed. Because why would a homophobe have any sort of problem whatsoever to speak of when it comes to Kevin Spacey?
Didn't he have a rule about people in the front row not being allowed to have their playbills in their laps?
