Team Obama needs to do something and fast. He's way down in the polls and even tied with McSame. They shouldn't even be in the same digits.

Here in Ohio, I see that stupid Paris ad every other commercial break. An Obama ad maybe twice a night. He needs to step it up big time.

You can nickel and dime this all day. Poll after poll, look at how inconsistent the polls were during the primary with Clinton. Still step back and look at these polls, Obama has been VERY consistent in holding his own.

The reality however is registered voters and the electoral college. McCain is in serious trouble in both areas. Last time I checked the electoral college polls Obama opened WIDE lead. That said he certainly has a lot of work to do but these polls don't reflect our system of voting.

I'm so sick of the media reporting this as a horse-race. It is not.

the reality is likely voters. as in the ones who will acually vote. that's the area in which bammy's got issues.

but you can continue on in this vein. i'd start laying the groundwork now for some explanation when he loses though. voter fraud. voter suppression. something.

maybe he can hold the country hostage like he and his buddy odinga did in kenya with race riots.

i'm sorry your side picked a losing candidate. oh wait, no i'm not.

oh, i totally forgot that one, phylly. yeah. if only hillary hadn't weakened him with her racist attacks he would have been in a much better position not to lose to a 90 year-old guy who can't lift his own arms. that's a good one!

"the reality is likely voters. as in the ones who will acually vote. that's the area in which bammy's got issues. "

I don't see that at all. I see Republicans as the ones not showing up to vote. Evangelicals in particular. McCain is just so hated in his own party. Obama has registered millions of new voters and stands to gain in the coming months. He will turn out more minority voters in our history. More blacks and latins than ever before. The only voters he's not getting are the one's that will not vote for a democrat.

I think John Kerry could have even beat McCain. This gas/food thing hits people right where it counts the pocketbook. And it's only going to get worse.

She didn't weaken him with her "racist attacks." Hillary hit below the belt with nonsense she herself and the Democratic party is guilty of.

If anything this talk of racism galvanizes people in a good way for Obama.

What's all the below the belt stuff? Was it that she didn't step out of the way and let Bammy fly unfettered on his winged unicorn to the convention?

"They're going to blame Hillary."

I don't know who 'they' are, but I will not be blaming her if Obama loses. However, I think there should be some level of consistency. If Obama deserves the blame should he lose, then it's only fair to say that Clinton deserves the blame for her primary loss. It would be unfair to put all the blame on Obama should he lose, but blame the media, misogyny, etc for Clinton's loss.

Well, losing the primary and losing the general election are apples and oranges. And trust me, they will stil blame him.

"Hillary lost the primary because Obmaa would do and say ANYTHING to get the nomination."

Are you delusional? Both said whatever to get the nomination. He however did not engage in divisive party attacks like she did. Don't you remember when she suggested only she and McCain would be ready to lead?

That kind of BS is what really pissed us off. She can go at him for all kinds of stuff but not like that. Not if she is going to claim to be aligned with this stupid party.

You know, I kind of like Obama. It is his supporters I can do without.

Hillary ran a terrible primary campaign - but she was not helped by the orgasmic embrace of Obama by the MSM.

I find it somewhat satisfying that now the Netroots folks are somewhat disappointed in Obama - he ran to the middle after he got the nomination - exactly what everyone attacked Hillary for doing - except she did it during the primary.
