She is apparently going to be singing Bad Romance on the piano, and then Alejandro. It is also rumored to have a fountain full of blood.

It went very well up until the ending...she then seemed very tired. She needs a break, she is constantly touring. Her voice needs a break

I like several of her songs, but I didn't really like that one.

She looked great, but Alejandro just isn't a song that's going to sound good live in that kind of setting. I still wish she'd released "Dance in the Dark" as the next single instead, even though I do like the recorded version of Alejandro.

That's the one song of hers I hate. It's too much like some awful song by some old hag who insists on doing it every tour.
I'm so devoted to not watching Idol, even Gaga couldn't get me to watch it and she got me to tune into the incomprehensible Gossip Girl.

Hmm...did she write it while dreaming of San Pedro?

I love this song, because it's like she passed out in a drug fueled haze while listening to Fernando by ABBA. Then woke up in a daze, decided to write an ABBA homage, let the Sweden factor confuse her and accidentally wrote an Ace of Base homage.
Then added a touch of The Chauffeur by Duran Duran, for good measure.
(On the flip side, the performance wasn't great and Alejandro is a horrible single.)

I like most of the song, but the parts where she speak-sings in her lower register kinda jar me out of it and they didn't sound good on t.v. The performance lacked a lot of her usual energy.
I think I got more excited over seeing Mark Kanermura from SYTYCD on stage! He was fabulous and so into his role, as usual, and looked super HOT.

I think she did a good job with what she had to be honest, Alejandro isn't a great live song unless you have a crowd singing along...which, obviously is a bit difficult when you're only just promoting it as a single.
Unlike Paparazzi (it's closest Gaga relative), there isn't much of a climax to the song to enhance further when performing it (a la VMA) so it doesn't really go anywhere. It sounds great on track though with the industrial-esque synths...maybe they should have just been made more prominent.
I love when she acoustically does Bad Romance. I wish she'd show her voice off more on track.
She looked hot though, maybe kept the cape on for a tad too long into the number with the Dracula swishes, but Gaga will be Gaga.

The unedited version IS better. AI is pretty foolish for cutting down the main reason many tuned in:

Yeah, it's too bad this song isn't a great song to perform live. I don't know if I misunderstood the poster saying Paparazzi at the VMAs wasn't very climatic--it TOTALLY was--she gave an incredible performance at the VMAs--vocally, you could tell the ending was challenging. This was just... meh. She actually sounded surprisingly good at the beginning of the AI performance to me. Her voice sounded clearer than it did a few months ago. She should have done something more exciting for the finale. The camera angles made me dizzy. Stop turning the camera on its side all the time, AI producers!!

So when is Lene going to be on AI?

Considering the amount of money poured into that show, you'd think by now they would have hired competent directors. Their camera work is consistently awful, and they've somehow manage to perfect the puzzling trick of having a show bloated with pointless filler material that still can't end on time.
