Lady Gaga gets naked for Vanity Fair, talks cocaine and the Mets

Lady Gaga continues to out-do herself in the press, as she'll appear naked on the cover and in the pages of this Wednesday's new Vanity Fair.

The "Bad Romance" singer wears little else aside from a gray wig and a shiny choker, though her interview may prove itself even more revealing.

Despite her constant touring and entourage, she says she remains in a constant state of lonliness. " "I’m perpetually lonely. I’m lonely when I’m in relationships. It’s my condition as an artist." Another one of her "conditions" includes her proclivity to house and hone her creativity in her... hoo-ha. "I have this weird thing that if I sleep with someone they’re going to take my creativity from me through my vagina." Which brings new meaning to one's "disco stick."

I love Gaga, but I must say, she talks like she has been in the business for 25 years. I think she is exceptional, but she is blowing her wad very quickly with all the revelations, interviews, and controversy so earlier on. Spread it out girl!!!! You have to maintain our attention indefinitely. You already showed us the titties too. Slow your roll sister!!!

She's had one and a half albums (Fame Monster is an EP in my book) and she acts like shes endured for the ages. Talk to us in 5 years.

Well, it kind of sounds like she's contradicting herself... She's saying she doesn't want her fans to feel like they need to use drugs to make it big or whatever, but she still does it? What kind of example is she setting? Don't get me wrong--I'm a big fan of Gaga, but that statement makes no sense to me. That statement just seems very hypocritical to me.

I don't see how they're connected? Her making it big would be despite using drugs. Anyway, rock and roll exists in the contradictions. To me, it would be hypocritical if she made a big deal about NOT doing drugs when she does.

On HLN this morning, one of the anchors was talking about the magazine spread and she said, "GaGa is bringing sex to pop." Um....I am pretty sure there was sex in pop LONG before GaGa came around.

She had a drug problem before she was famous, so there wasn't a whole lot of hope for her remaining clean when she did hit the big time considering how drug-filled the industry is. She's a rockstar who idolises the 80's and walks about in costumes all day, of course it was going to happen.

It is slightly concerning though how candidly she's admitting to relapsing after she's been so vocal about what a sh*t time she had and the repercussions. Pretty irresponsible of her too considering how young and impressionable some of her fans are. Then again, she's never tried to be a squeaky clean role model.

It's a shame that she was blowing her brains out before the fame in true frustrated and struggling artist mode, and now that she has everything she wanted...she's gone back to it.

The connection? She said something about how she doesn't want her fans to feel like they have to use drugs to "make it big," but she still does it? She does have a lot of young, impressionable fans--and for somebody to say she doesn't want her fans to feel that they have to use drugs (acknowledging that she is a role model), but admits to doing it--there is a connection there.

Parks, if I am reading this correctly, she is saying she DOESN'T want fans to think you have to do drugs to make it big. She made it big. She does coke once in a while. I think it's too much when people want rock stars to be "responsible." And underneath that pop sheen the woman is a total rock star.

Gaga is trying to do 2 things 1.) create some mythology for herself and 2.) be controversial. I don't doubt she isn't making things up about her past and present to be interesting. In this interview she says she is not a role model and when she does press for the MAC Cosmetics AIDs charities she says she is a role model. She vacillates alot in her interviews.

Much like Madonna, I am pretty certain Gaga is a very disciplined woman. No one could perform at the level and with the prowess she does and be doing drugs. Just like Madonna pretended to be gay, a whore. etc-she never was. It was all press. I think Gaga is doing the same thing.

Except everybody has their things they do once in a while. Like Madonna and Ecstasy. Even though, of course, she "never did drugs." Not everybody has an instant addiction to everything they try.

I never heard her say she was in recovery, I'm not doubting your assertion. Right now anyway, it doesn't seem anywhere near, say Lohan-level.
