well.....it was an hour and 10 minutes, and went extremely well.
The job is right up my alley, a much more relaxed entity, can meet my salary requirement, so it looks really good.
Next step is getting my resume to him, and probably a face-to-face there or here within a week.

what is really funny is just a few minutes ago my idiot manager (who I trained when he was new) just sent one of his micro-management emails. It is something I can see sending to a new employee but not a 16yr veteran of the company.
He assumed something, and was wrong, and my answer back let him know that professionally.
Funny he should question pricing on a $595 sale, when I closed a $50,000 earlier in the day.......ridiculous.

just goes to show I need a change

I'm so glad your interview went well! And yay that you wouldn't have to move! (It's a gorgeous day today in LA - 77 with a nice breeze...what's it like in Palm Springs?)

Erika, I think it was 78 today. Been cooped up inside all day, which is a good thing as "someone" is paining the inside of the garage. Thank God there is nothing else to paint, as he drives me crazy when he gets in these painting moods!

Don't you worry Colleen, I'll make it back there one of these days!
